Me complace estar una vez más esta semana compartiendo con todos ustedes por medio de mis relatos de terror y misterio. El día de hoy vengo a traerles un nuevo relato de terror y misterio donde la imaginación y la ficción juegan un rol esencial. Este relato lo titulé "La Casa de mis sueños."

I am pleased to be once again this week sharing with you all my horror and mystery stories. Today I come to bring you a new horror and mystery story where imagination and fiction play an essential role. I titled this story "The House of My Dreams."

La Casa de mis sueños/ The House of My Dreams.
Juan era un joven entusiasta quien siempre soñó por alcanzar sus metas desde joven sonó con tener su propia casa. Desde que comenzó a trabajar su visión era convertirse en un acaudalado hombre lleno de propiedades, para garantizarle a su familia una buena estabilidad.
Por medio de la internet Juan buscaba conseguir la casa de sus sueños un día ve un anuncio. Que decía:
"De oportunidad vendo casa a muy buen precio, amoblada y a las afueras de la ciudad".
Juan was an enthusiastic young man who always dreamed of achieving his goals, since he was young he dreamed of owning his own house. Since he started working his vision was to become a wealthy man full of properties, to guarantee his family a good stability.
Through the internet Juan was looking for the house of his dreams, one day he saw an ad. It said:
"Opportunity to sell house at a very good price, furnished and on the outskirts of the city".
Juan pensó: -Esta puede ser la casa ideal. Fuera del bullicio de la ciudad y pudiera estar ajustada a mi presupuesto.-
Juan llama al vendedor y emprende camino a entrevistarse con el corredor de bienes y raíces.
Al llegar observa una hermosa casa de amplio terreno construida en su totalidad de piedra, muy similar a las casas de la campiña italiana rodeada de árboles y pasto verde. Juan es recibido por un hombre muy elegante vestido con un hermoso traje negro, de aspecto algo retro similar a la moda de los años 40.
Juan thought: -This could be the ideal house. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city and it could be within my budget.
Juan calls the seller and sets off to meet with the realtor.
When he arrives he sees a beautiful house on a large lot built entirely of stone, very similar to the houses in the Italian countryside surrounded by trees and green grass. Juan is greeted by a very elegant man dressed in a beautiful black suit, somewhat retro looking similar to the fashion of the 1940s.
El vendedor le dice que la propiedad está en venta dado que su antiguo dueño murió y sus herederos no quieren mudarse a esa casa, ya que todos tienen casa propia, Juan camina por los pasillos de la casa y observa una hermosa decoración gótica, sus ventanas tenían hermosos vitrales en mosaico, sus paredes eran de piedra, hermosos muebles de cedro, piso de madera pulida, las camas eran amplias y con grandes mosquiteros colgantes, el alumbrado era precario pues al antiguo dueño le gustaba alumbrar con grandes velas y candelabros.
The seller tells him that the property is for sale since its former owner died and his heirs do not want to move to that house, since they all have their own house, Juan walks through the corridors of the house and observes a beautiful Gothic decoration, its windows had beautiful stained glass mosaic, its walls were made of stone, beautiful cedar furniture, polished wood floor, the beds were spacious and with large hanging mosquito nets, the lighting was precarious because the former owner liked to light with large candles and candelabras.
Juan emocionado al ver semejante casa le pregunta por curiosidad al vendedor:
¿De qué murió el antiguo dueño?. El vendedor le comenta "Nunca se supo con certeza pues fue encontrado muerto bajo extrañas circunstancias en el sótano de la casa". -continúa diciendo el vendedor: -"Desde ese momento el sótano fue clausurado con tablas de madera"-.
Juan, excited to see such a house, asks the seller out of curiosity:
What did the former owner die of? The seller commented: "It was never known for sure because he was found dead under strange circumstances in the basement of the house". -The seller continues: "From that moment on, the basement was sealed off with wooden boards".
Juan se sorprende un poco, pero entrega el dinero y firma el documento de propiedad de la casa. Ya instalado en su nueva casa siente un gran sentimiento de gozo pues ya había comprado la casa de sus sueños.
Juan is a little surprised, but he hands over the money and signs the document of ownership of the house. Once he is settled in his new home, he feels a great sense of joy because he has bought the house of his dreams.
Al segundo día de haberse mudado y ya siendo de noche Juan escucha unos ruidos que provenientes del sótano. El Trata de mirar por las rendijas de la puerta de madera, pero no ve a nadie, decide tomar una linterna y tratar de mirar, pero sus esfuerzos son infructíferos así que decide ignorar la situación e irse de nuevo a dormir.
On the second day after moving in, Juan hears some noises coming from the basement. He tries to look through the cracks in the wooden door, but sees no one. He decides to take a flashlight and try to look, but his efforts are unsuccessful so he decides to ignore the situation and go back to sleep.
A la noche siguiente Juan vuelve a escuchar los mismos extraños ruidos así que decide tomar de una vez por todas un martillo y abrir la puerta da unos golpes a la puerta y esta se abre. Coge la linterna y baja, al estar dentro del sótano solo ve algunos muebles viejos y unas cartas regadas decide abrir y leer algunas, pero para su sorpresa eran antiguos manuscritos en pergamino que se remontaban a 1810.
The next night Juan hears the same strange noises again so he decides to take a hammer and open the door once and for all, he knocks on the door and it opens. He takes the flashlight and goes down, when he is inside the basement he only sees some old furniture and some scattered letters, he decides to open and read some of them, but to his surprise they were old manuscripts on parchment dating back to 1810.
A Juan le llama la atención uno de los pergaminos entonces coge uno que sobresalía pero, ve que no tiene ningún remitente y trata de leer lo que dice:
"Si has llegado aquí probablemente seas el dueño de todo lo que hay aquí. En medio de este sótano hay un jarrón enterrado con muchas monedas de oro, pero ten en cuenta que al abrirla heredaras mucha riqueza, pero también desataras la desgracia".
Juan's attention is drawn to one of the scrolls so he picks up one that is sticking out but, seeing that it has no return address, he tries to read what it says:
"If you have come here you are probably the owner of everything here. In the middle of this basement there is a vase buried with many gold coins, but keep in mind that when you open it you will inherit much wealth, but you will also unleash misfortune".
Juan al leer esto queda atónito, decide al día siguiente comenzar a cavar para tratar de conseguir esas tal jarrón. Luego de todo un día entero cavando y ya agotado decide dar un último esfuerzo cavando al poco tiempo su pala crujió como si hubiera chocado con algo, desempolvo un poco y se comenzó a ver una gran jarrón de arcilla, rápidamente continuó la excavación hasta obtener el jarrón en sus manos.
Juan was astonished when he read this, and the next day he decided to start digging to try to find the vase. After a whole day of digging and already exhausted he decides to give one last effort digging and soon his shovel creaked as if it had hit something, he dusted a little and began to see a large clay vase, he quickly continued digging until he got the vase in his hands.
Antes de abrirla vio como un hueso de un dedo que sobresalía de la tierra allí Juan se asustó mucho y dejo el jarrón en donde lo encontró.
Before opening it, he saw a finger bone sticking out of the ground and Juan was very frightened and left the vase where he found it.
A los días siguiente Juan contacta con Ernesto un viejo amigo de su infancia el cual siempre le atrajeron los temas de brujería y ocultismo. Juan le comenta todo lo sucedido a Ernesto, este último le suplica no abrir por nada del mundo ese jarrón pues podría liberar una maldición.
A few days later, Juan contacts Ernesto, an old childhood friend who has always been attracted to witchcraft and occultism. Juan tells Ernesto everything that has happened and Ernesto begs him not to open the vase for anything in the world because it could release a curse.
Juan y Ernesto van al sótano a ver el hallazgo Ernesto le explica a Juan que el entierro de monedas de oro era una práctica que se hacía desde tiempos de la colonia española, los grandes terratenientes de aquella época enterraban sus riquezas para que nadie ajeno las encontrara.
Continúa Ernesto diciendo.
".Los terratenientes mandaban a los esclavos a cavar grandes fosas para enterrar el oro, pero, luego mataban a los esclavos y arrojaban el cuerpo del esclavo junto con el oro a la fosa. Mientras realizaban el ritual lanzaban un conjuro para que el alma del esclavo se convirtiera en el guardián de las monedas de oro."
Juan and Ernesto go to the basement to see the find Ernesto explains to Juan that the burial of gold coins was a practice that was done since the Spanish colonial times, the great landowners of that time buried their wealth so that no one else could find it.
Ernesto goes on to say.
"The landowners would send slaves to dig large pits to bury the gold, but then they would kill the slaves and throw the body of the slave along with the gold into the pit. While performing the ritual they would cast an incantation so that the soul of the slave would become the keeper of the gold coins."
Continúa Ernesto diciendo: "Los ruidos que escuchabas eran realizados por el espíritu del esclavo para que desenterraras el oro. Ya que al desenterrarlo liberarías su alma del conjuro".
Juan: ¿Entonces debemos desenterrar al esclavo y darle una sepultura ideal?
Ernesto: -Es necesario encontrar un nuevo guardián para el oro, ya que la maldición libra al espíritu del esclavo, pero alguien más debe morir de lo contrario moriría quien haya encontrado el oro-.
Ernesto goes on to say: "The noises you heard were made by the spirit of the slave so that you would dig up the gold. For by digging him up you would free his soul from the spell".
Juan: So we should dig up the slave and give him an ideal burial?
Ernesto: -It is necessary to find a new guardian for the gold, since the curse frees the spirit of the slave, but someone else must die otherwise the one who found the gold would die-.
Juan reflexiona y recuerda aquellas palabras del vendedor "-El antiguo dueño murió en el sótano en extrañas circunstancias-" Quizás el antiguo dueño encontró el jarrón, pero no fue capaz de matar a alguien más.
Juan reflects and remembers those words of the seller "-The former owner died in the basement under strange circumstances-" Maybe the former owner found the vase, but he was not able to kill someone else.
Juan y Ernesto continúan pensando en una solución para poner fin a la maldición y tomar el oro, en ese momento se escucha un fuerte golpe seguido de un agonizante grito, Ernesto se estremece y sube a la casa con preocupación mira hacia el exterior, pero no ve a nadie cerca así que baja de nuevo al sótano, enciende un cigarrillo toma el pergamino y lo rompe para luego con sus manos arrojar el cuerpo malherido de Juan a la fosa para posteriormente enterrar su cuerpo dentro de aquel sótano. Al finalizar toma el jarrón y se marcha del lugar para nunca más volver a la casa de los sueños.
Juan and Ernesto continue thinking of a solution to end the curse and take the gold, at that moment a loud bang is heard followed by an agonizing scream, Ernesto shudders and goes up to the house with concern and looks outside, but sees no one nearby so he goes back down to the basement, lights a cigarette, takes the parchment and breaks it and then with his hands throws the badly wounded body of Juan into the pit to later bury his body in the basement. At the end he takes the vase and leaves the place, never to return to the house of dreams.
