En una ciudad muy lejana, vivía una familia compuesta de tres hermanos, dos hombres y una mujer, ellos eran muy humildes y trabajadores, se esforzaban día a día por llevar el pan al hogar, en realidad solo le alcanzaba para eso, sin importar cuanto se esforzarán solo les alcanzaba para la comida.

In a city far away, there lived a family composed of three siblings, two men and a woman, they were very humble and hardworking, they struggled every day to bring home the bread, in reality they only had enough for that, no matter how hard they tried, they only had enough for food.

Poco a poco, se les fue desgastando la ropa y el calzado, pero no podían hacer nada, porque el dinero no les alcanzaba.

Pedro que era el mas joven de los tres se cansó un día y con un poco de frustración les dijo así a sus hermanos:

-“Ya me cansé de esta situación, voy a buscar la manera de que salgamos de esta situación, van a ver que los ayudaré a salir de la pobreza”.-

Patricia que era la mayor, le dijo:

-“Solo ten cuidado, no vayas a meterte en algo de lo que luego te puedas arrepentir, aunque es cierto que trabajamos muy duro, lo hacemos honradamente y eso para mí es suficiente”.-

Pasaron las semanas y de verdad Pedro, comenzó a llevar un poco mas de dinero a casa y a Juan y a Patricia le comenzó a preocupar la situación, llegaba muy tarde, incluso lo habían visto algunas veces golpeado y otras veces borracho.

Juan, se propuso seguirlo, para investigar que era lo que pasaba con Pedro, y lo que vio lo angustio mucho más, se había metido en el negocio de las apuestas y aunque al principio le estaba yendo muy bien.

Little by little, their clothes and shoes were wearing out, but they could do nothing, because money was not enough.

Pedro, who was the youngest of the three, got tired one day and with a bit of frustration said to his brothers, "I'm tired of this situation:

-I am tired of this situation, I am going to find a way to get out of this situation, you will see that I will help you to get out of poverty".

Patricia, who was the oldest, told him:

-"Just be careful, don't get into something that you might regret later, although it is true that we work very hard, we do it honestly and that is enough for me".

The weeks went by and Pedro really started to bring a little more money home and Juan and Patricia began to worry about the situation, he was arriving very late, they had even seen him sometimes beaten up and other times drunk.

Juan, decided to follow him, to investigate what was going on with Pedro, and what he saw distressed him much more, he had gone into the betting business and although at the beginning he was doing very well.

Luego comenzó a endeudarse con personas muy peligrosas. Juan escuchó en una conversación, en que le dijeron a Pedro, que si no les pagaba pronto iban a acabar con él.

Al oír esto, Juan se preocupó mucho ¡cómo le podía estar pasando esto a su hermano menor!

Rápidamente se dirigió de nuevo a casa y le contó a Patricia lo que estaba pasando y ella perturbada y agobiada, como toda hermana mayor, quiso poner manos a la obra para ayudarlo.

Desesperada comenzó a escoger algunas joyas y accesorios, para vender y empeñar las pocas cosas que les quedaban de valor, que pertenecían a sus padres, con el fin de ayudar a su hermano pedro a salir de la situación.

Después de todo ella era la mayor y tenía que proteger a sus hermanos y en ese momento esa era la única manera de hacerlo.

Juan muy pensativo, solo observaba a Patricia que caminaba, de un lugar a otro buscando que más vender, ahí en ese momento se dio cuenta que, aunque vendieran la casa completa no lograrían pagarles a esas personas tan peligrosas.

Juan le tendió una trampa a Pedro, para que lo acusaran de ladrón y lo metieran preso, Pedro en su desesperación por conseguir dinero, cayó directo en la trampa.

Then he began to get into debt with very dangerous people. Juan overheard a conversation in which they told Pedro that if he didn't pay them soon they were going to finish him off.

When Juan heard this, he was very worried about how this could be happening to his younger brother!

He quickly went back home and told Patricia what was going on and she, disturbed and overwhelmed, like any older sister, wanted to get to work to help him.

In desperation she began to pick out some jewelry and accessories, to sell and pawn the few things they had left of value, which belonged to their parents, in order to help her brother Pedro out of the situation.

After all, she was the eldest and had to protect her siblings and at that moment that was the only way to do it.

Juan, deep in thought, just watched Patricia walking from one place to another, looking for what else to sell, at that moment he realized that even if they sold the whole house they would not be able to pay those dangerous people.

Juan set a trap for Pedro, so that they would accuse him of being a thief and put him in jail, Pedro in his desperation to get money, fell right into the trap.

Cuando Patricia se enteró de lo que había hecho Juan, se molestó muchísimo, no lo podía creer, como le hizo eso a su propio hermano, le dijo:

-“Ya no te veo como mi hermano, mi único hermano es Pedro y está ahora en la cárcel por tu culpa, no quiero que me vuelvas a hablar en lo que te queda de vida.”-

Juan con los ojos llenos de lágrimas, asintió con la cabeza, para él su familia era lo más importante y daría todo por ellos, aunque le doliera más a él.

When Patricia found out what Juan had done, she was very upset, she could not believe it, how he did that to his own brother, she told him:

-"I don't see you as my brother anymore, my only brother is Pedro and he is now in jail because of you, I don't want you to talk to me again for the rest of your life."-.

Juan with his eyes full of tears, nodded his head, for him his family was the most important thing and he would give everything for them, even if it hurt him more.

Esa semana Juan trabajó mas duro que todos los demás días, no solo tenia su trabajo habitual, sino que buscó otro, necesitaba ganar mucho dinero, pero lo haría honradamente.

Luego de que pasó un mes de estar trabajando tan duro, logró reunir y compró un horno y materiales para hacer pan dulce, salado, tortas y otra variedad de cosas que su mamá les había enseñado cuando estaba viva.

Después de comprar esas cosas renunció a sus empleos y con lo que le dieron en su primer trabajo por los años que trabajó, alquilo un local muy grande con neveras y vitrinas para montar una panadería.

Comenzó trabajando muy duro, con sus propias manos, porque no tenía las maquinas que facilitan la amasada de los panes, solo tenía el horno.

That week Juan worked harder than every other day, not only did he have his usual job, but he looked for another one, he needed to earn a lot of money, but he would do it honestly.

After a month of working so hard, he managed to get together and bought an oven and materials to make sweet bread, savory bread, cakes and a variety of other things that his mother had taught them when she was alive.

After buying those things she quit her jobs and with the money she got from her first job for the years he worked, he rented a very big place with refrigerators and display cases to set up a bakery.

She started working very hard, with her own hands, because she didn't have the machines that make it easier to knead the bread, she only had the oven.

Cuando Patricia vio la panadería, que estaba formando Juan se sorprendió mucho, se llamaba J.P.P. y antes de entrar había un cartel que decía: ”La familia nos impulsa a crecer, si estamos juntos no nos van a vencer”.

A Patricia le extraño esa frase, viniendo de alguien que había engañado a su hermano para que lo metieran preso, ignoró la panadería y siguió su camino.

Ella todos los días iba a la cárcel a llevarle de comer a Pedro, no había tenido oportunidad de vender las cosas para bajar la deuda de su hermano, porque antes de que lo hiciera lo metieron en la cárcel.

Pasaron las semanas y luego los meses, había transcurrido casi un año y a Juan le estaba yendo muy bien en su panadería, ya había comprado varias maquinas que le facilitaban el trabajo, la mezcladora, la sobadora, la enrolladora, una batidora, entre otras cosas, incluso ya había contratado a varias personas, para que hicieran diferentes trabajos en la panadería.

Poco a poco logro reunir, después de mucho esfuerzo el dinero para pagar la deuda de su hermano, él le había puesto esa trampa solo para protegerlo y en la cárcel iba a estar a salvo.

When Patricia saw the bakery, which Juan was forming, she was very surprised, it was called J.P.P. and before entering there was a sign that said: "The family drives us to grow, if we are together we will not be defeated".

Patricia found that phrase strange, coming from someone who had tricked her brother into jail, she ignored the bakery and went on her way.

She had not had the opportunity to sell the things to lower her brother's debt, because before she did, they put him in jail.

The weeks passed and then the months, almost a year had passed and Juan was doing very well in his bakery, he had already bought several machines that made his work easier, the mixer, the dough mixer, the rolling machine, a mixer, among other things, he had even hired several people to do different jobs in the bakery.

Little by little he managed to gather, after much effort, the money to pay his brother's debt, he had set that trap just to protect him and in jail he would be safe.

Cuando por fin logro pagar, incluso los intereses de la deuda, fue a la policía y contó lo que había pasado y porque lo hizo y así fue como ese mismo día liberaron a Pedro.

Patricia, cuando fue a llevarle de comer a Pedro en la cárcel, se enteró de todo y se dio cuenta del error que había cometido al juzgar apresuradamente a su hermano.

Cuando iba saliendo con Pedro de la cárcel, estaban afuera esperándolo las personas a las que le debía.

When he finally managed to pay, including the interest on the debt, he went to the police and told them what had happened and why he had done it, and that was how Pedro was released that same day.

Patricia, when she went to feed Pedro in jail, found out everything and realized the mistake she had made in judging her brother hastily.

When she was leaving the jail with Pedro, the people he owed were waiting for him outside.

Le dijeron:

-”Si no hubiese sido por tu hermano no estarías vivo ahora, tienes mucho que agradecer”-

Tanto Patricia como Pedro, habían juzgado mal a Juan y sabían que debían ir allá a disculparse, sin pensar en ir a casa, se dirigieron a la panadería y cuando entraron se sorprendieron de lo lujosa, limpia y arreglada que estaba, era un derroche de elegancia.

-"If it hadn't been for your brother you wouldn't be alive now, you have a lot to be thankful for"-.

Both Patricia and Pedro, had misjudged Juan and knew they had to go there to apologize, without thinking of going home, they went to the bakery and when they entered they were surprised at how luxurious, clean and arranged it was, it was a waste of elegance.

Además de la panadería, también era de él, el restaurante de al lado y la pizzería del otro lado, quedaron tan sorprendidos que les costaba cerrar la boca. Cuando piden hablar con el encargado, uno de los empleados comenta, que el dueño se encuentra en su oficina y los comienza a guiar hacia ella.

Mientras van caminando, entran en un pasillo, y ven una puerta, es la primera oficina que dice: "Gerente de Pizzería" y abajo del titulo un nombre, "Patricia", a ella se le salen las lagrimas pero igual siguen caminando y siguen hacia la otra puerta y esta dice: "Gerente de Restaurante" y abajo "Pedro" en ese instante, los dos se miran a la cara sin poderlo creer.

Cuando siguen caminando, se encuentran con la ultima puerta que dice: "Gerente de Panadería" y como era de esperarse, con el nombre "Juan".

Cuando el empleado toca la puerta y abre no dejaron ni que los presentara, salieron los dos corriendo a abrazar a Juan, lo habían juzgado mal, todo lo había hecho por la familia.

Juan se sentía feliz, su familia ya estaba junta de nuevo, además, iban a tener una mejor vida, el esfuerzo había valido la pena, ellos no paraban de disculparse y agradecer.

Patricia le dijo a Juan:

-”Nuestros padres, estarían orgullosos de todo lo que has logrado”

Besides the bakery, it was also his, the restaurant next door and the pizzeria on the other side, they were so surprised that it was difficult to close their mouths. When they ask to speak to the manager, one of the employees comments that the owner is in his office and begins to guide them to it.

As they are walking, they enter a hallway, and see a door, it is the first office that says: "Pizzeria Manager" and below the title a name, "Patricia", she gets teary eyed but they continue walking and continue to the other door and this one says: "Restaurant Manager" and below "Pedro" at that moment, the two look at each other's faces in disbelief.

When they continue walking, they find the last door that says: "Bakery Manager" and as expected, with the name "Juan".

When the employee knocked on the door and opened it, they didn't even let him introduce them, they both ran out to hug Juan, they had misjudged him, he had done everything for the family.

Juan felt happy, his family was together again, besides, they were going to have a better life, the effort had been worth it, they kept apologizing and thanking each other.

Patricia said to Juan:

-"Our parents, they would be proud of everything you have accomplished".

Juan, les dijo que cada uno ahora tenia su propio negocio, que estaban a nombre de ellos, estos negocios siguieron creciendo juntos y estos tres hermanos continúan mas unidos que nunca hasta el día de hoy, siempre teniendo presente la siguiente frase: ”La familia nos impulsa a crecer, si estamos juntos no nos van a vencer”.

Juan told them that each of them now had their own business, which were in their names, these businesses continued to grow together and these three brothers continue to be more united than ever to this day, always keeping in mind the following phrase: "The family drives us to grow, if we are together we will not be defeated".
