El amuleto de la abuela Antonia//Grandma Antonia's amulet
Érase una vez una niña llamada Elizabeth, tenía 9 años y con unos ojos azules como el mar y una linda cabellera como rizos de oro, era una niña muy amable y cariñosa. Amaba a su abuela Antonia, el amor por ella era indescriptible. La mamá de Elizabeth no quería pensar cuando su madre falleciera porque estaba algo enferma de su corazón y los médicos le habían dicho que tenía que estar preparada, que de un momento a otro la señora Antonia podía fallecer. Sería una noticia muy devastadora para Elizabeth, ya que amaba a su abuela demasiado.
Once upon a time there was a little girl named Elizabeth, she was 9 years old and with eyes as blue as the sea and beautiful hair like golden curls, she was a very kind and loving child. She loved her grandmother Antonia, her love for her was indescribable. Elizabeth's mother did not want to think about when her mother would pass away because she was a little sick at heart and the doctors had told her that she had to be prepared, that at any moment Mrs. Antonia could pass away. It would be very devastating news for Elizabeth, as she loved her grandmother very much.
Su abuela conservaba un pollo en espiral que se lo habían regalado en unos de sus viajes a la India. Se lo regalo un maestro espiritual del hinduismo. A la señora Antonia le encanto ese obsequio y lo utilizaba como amuleto. El maestro espiritual le dio todas las instrucciones de como debía activarlo para tener suerte en la vida y lograr conectarse con algún familiar que haya fallecido, solo se podía hacer el encuentro a través de los sueños. Debía colocar el pollo en espiral muy cerca de su cama, cuando ella estuviera durmiendo. Todas las noches sacaba su amuleto y lo colocaba en una mesita de noche cerca de su cama. Y cuando entraba en sueño profundo se deleitaba conversando con sus familiares fallecidos. Ella sabía que pronto partiría de este plano terrenal.
His grandmother kept a spiral chicken that had been given to her on one of her trips to India. It was a gift from a Hindu spiritual master. Mrs. Antonia loved this gift and used it as an amulet. The spiritual master gave her all the instructions on how to activate it in order to have luck in life and to be able to connect with a relative who had passed away, the only way to do this was through dreams. She was to place the spiral chicken very close to her bed, when she was sleeping. Every night she would take out her amulet and place it on a bedside table near her bed. And when she went into a deep sleep she would delight in conversing with her deceased relatives. She knew that she would soon depart this earthly plane.
Elizabeth sabia de la existencia del pollo en espiral. Su abuela la estaba preparando y dándole las instrucciones en caso de que ella falleciera y que debía hacer. La abuela le decía:-este será tu amuleto para que te vaya bien en la vida, pero jamás le dijo que en un futuro no muy lejano se podían comunicar a través del amuleto una vez que ella hubiera fallecido. Pasaron muchos días y la señora Antonia un día empezó a sentirse mal. Hasta que su corazón se paralizó y falleció. Elizabeth no paraba de llorar. Su tristeza era tan grande que dejo de comer por varios días, sus lindos ojos azules reflejaban en lo más profundo de su ser la tristeza que cargaba por la pérdida de su abuela.
Elizabeth knew of the existence of the spiral chicken. Her grandmother was preparing her and giving her instructions in case she died and what to do. Her grandmother told her: "This will be your amulet so that you will do well in life, but she never told her that in the not too distant future they could communicate through the amulet once she had passed away. Many days passed and one day Mrs. Antonia began to feel sick. Until her heart became paralyzed and she passed away. Elizabeth could not stop crying. Her sadness was so great that she stopped eating for several days, her beautiful blue eyes reflected in the deepest part of her being the sadness she carried for the loss of her grandmother.
Sentada en su cama, recordaba a su abuela Antonia y lo feliz que había sido con ella. De pronto miro, hacía su mesita de noche y diviso el pollo en espiral, le llamó tanto la atención, era la primera vez que lo tocaba, ya que su abuela no dejaba que se le acercara ni tocara. Solo le dijo cuando yo muera lo podrás tener entre tus manos. Y así fue Elizabeth abrazo el pollo en espiral y sintió una conexión tan grande que empezó a sentir las luces de colores que emanaba desde el centro del espiral del pollo, era como un magnetismo que sentía Elizabeth. Logrando por fin quedarse dormida con el pollo en espiral entre sus brazos y pegado a su pecho. Se quedó profundamente dormida y un torbellino la arrastro hacia el centro del pollo en espiral y cuál fue su mayor sorpresa que su abuela la recibía con los brazos abiertos, ella corrió y se abrazaron. La abuela le dijo:-no llorarás más a partir de ahora, estaremos más unidas que nunca, debes aceptar mi muerte como proceso natural, ya estaba lista para partir. Elizabeth prometió a su abuela no llorar más y seguir adelante.
Sitting on her bed, she remembered her grandmother Antonia and how happy she had been with her. Suddenly she looked at her bedside table and saw the spiral chicken, it caught her attention, it was the first time she touched it, since her grandmother did not allow her to get close to it or touch it. She just told her when I die you can hold it in your hands. And so Elizabeth hugged the spiral chicken and felt such a great connection that she began to feel the colored lights emanating from the center of the chicken's spiral, it was like a magnetism that Elizabeth felt. She was finally able to fall asleep with the spiral chicken in her arms and attached to her chest. She fell deeply asleep and a whirlwind dragged her to the center of the spiral chicken and what was her biggest surprise that her grandmother received her with open arms, she ran and they hugged each other. Her grandmother told her: "You will not cry anymore from now on, we will be closer than ever, you must accept my death as a natural process, I was ready to leave. Elizabeth promised her grandmother not to cry anymore and to go on.
Elizabeth siguió conectándose con su abuela a través de sus sueños y la presencia del pollo en espiral. Se hizo adulta y la conexión se fue perdiendo con su abuela. Pero su vida estuvo llena de éxitos y muchos logros. El pollo en espiral era de madera y paso a ser un recuerdo para Elizabeth y se convirtió en una estampa de papel que ella forró en papel transparente y lo colocó en un portarretrato para siempre recordar a su abuela.
Elizabeth continued to connect with her grandmother through her dreams and the presence of the spiral chicken. She grew into adulthood and the connection faded with her grandmother. But her life was filled with success and many accomplishments. The coiled chicken was made of wood and became a keepsake for Elizabeth and became a paper print that she lined with transparent paper and placed in a picture frame to always remember her grandmother.
