Yesterday the 19th of June was the best of days since I got here, it was less regimented because it was the Sabbath day (for those who don't understand, Sabbath day is the first day of the week that Christians observe as the holy day, we go to church to worship together and return home to rest).
There was no sign of any soldier, no sound of trumpets or whistles just peace and quiet.
I woke up early but noticed that nobody came to send us out of our rooms, so I laid down again and after few hours I went to have my breakfast, went to church the church service organized my NCCF (Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship), at the pubblu hall, it was a very brief service but it was extremely impactful.
I retired to my hostel to rest, after which I ate lunch and went to the OBS (Orientation Broadcasting Station) studio as I was requested to be there for an interview since I indicated interest in joining the team.
One thing that I was impressed with is the fact that the studio was aesthetically pleasing, the drawings on the wall are commendable.
I was not the only person that indicated interest in joining the OBS team, I met over 50 people at the venue for the interview so we were interviewed in batches.
Well the interview questions were fair, not too difficult but enough to get an intellectual explanation of why you should be choosen as part of the team.
We were also tested, told to pick the microphones and told to give a speech so as to reveal our public speaking skills.
We were told to wait behind for our interview results, after a lot of hours the accepted candidates to wait behind and yes! You guessed right I was among the selected persons😁.
We attended a short meeting with the studio manager where Important information was shared and we were dismissed and told to report back the following day.
I had to take advantage of the resting day so I went back to my room and rested because I deserve it😂.
I slept into the night, and I wasn't able to record the experience yesterday but anyways better late than never.
Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate 😊.
