The ruleset was standard with all splinters allowed and the battle was a 29 mana battle that helped me choose my cards with greater freedom. My summoner was Mother Khala that gave my monsters an extra health point. It was only 3 mana cost summoner.
In my first position, I placed Gargoya Scrapper. It doesn't have any ability at level 1 but is a very cheap card just 1 mana card and can be fit at the front or at the back. I placed it in the front to get some more mileage from my cards at the bank. So, I used it to sacrifice. Not entirely a sacrifice but it was the best position considering it got extra armour from another monster.
In the second position came the Shield Bearer, a buffed beast with 4 armour on its own and huge health of 9 points. It deals 2 melee damage to the enemy monsters and has an interesting ability that won't let it allow attacking any other monsters. Its taunt ability made my other monsters safer until it was standing on the battlefield.
Next was the Luminous Eagle flying on the 3rd position with 3 speed and 2 Melee attack damage and has tow abilities, flying that means more chance to dodge incoming attacks and reach ability that allows it to even attack from the 2nd position in the lineup.
In the 4th position, Stitch Leech was placed. It is one of the weaker cards in terms of health but compensates well with its sneak ability that attack enemy monster from the last posiion. It has a surprise element that I love about this card.
The next card was a special card, Truth Speaker is a passive card with no attacks but comes with the protect ability that grants every friendly monster +2 armour. This ability is a game changer and it comes at the cost of only 3 mana. The only downside of using this card is its weak health of just 1 HP and should be placed carefully.
In the last position, I placed the Time Mage in the last position. It was the only mage in my lineup. It comes with a quick speed and has 3 health points too. It also has a very interesting and game-changing ability to slow every enemy monster with its slow ability.
After the lineup, it was the time for battle.
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Did my strategy work? Of course, it worked, not only worked but I thrashed my opponents with this strategy. But this strategy is effective only in battles with high overall mana costs. Shield Bearer's taunt ability is worth the high mana cost at this level.
Do you like the GARGOYA SCRAPPER? Why or why not?
Yes, I use this card quite often. Costing only 1 mana, I can use it in low mana cost battles. It is also used as a monster when you have extra mana left. It could be placed in the last position too to protect other monsters in your lineup from getting hit.
