THEME CARD: VENARI KNIFER | |

EDITION | CHAOS |
RARITY | COMMON |
ELEMENT | EARTH |
MANA COST | 6 POINT |
ATTACK | MELEE |
ABILITIES | THORNS |
Venari Knifer is a heavy-hitting card with good health of 7 and a great speed of 4 at level 1. It comes with a unique and effective thorns ability that deals damage back to Melee attackers. This makes it a good fit as a tank and can be used in 2nd spot as well in very high mana battles.
I have used it in front of the lineup as my tank.
My Lineup for the Battle
Position | Summoner/Monsters | Abilities |
---|---|---|
Summoner | Wizard of Eastwood | -2 Armour |
Position 1 | Venari Knifer | Thorns |
Position 2 | Regal Peryton | Flying |
Position 3 | Venari Scout | Opportunity |
Position 4 | Goblin Thief | Sneak |
Position 5 | Chaos Agent | No Ability |
The ruleset was standard with all splinters allowed and the battle was a 22 mana battle that is a mid-range mana battle. My summoner was Wizard of Eastwood which took away 2 armour of the opponent's monsters. I used this because I saw that my opponent was using armour heavy attacks in recent battles.
In the first position, I placed the Venari Knifer. Having 7 health points and 4 speed is a very good unit to be used as a tank. It has 2 Melee damage as well. Overall it is a good card to be used in the first position. The best part about it is its thorns ability that deals damage back at the Melee attackers.
In the 2nd position, I used a quick flying mage, the Regal Peryton. It is a very quick unit with 5 speed and its flying ability can get it to dodge any incoming attacks. It also deals magic attack, a superior attack that can't get missed. I like this card very much.
In the 3rd position, Venari Scout was placed. It has the opportunity ability at level 1 and this ability attacks the weakest monsters in the opponent camps. Sometimes monsters with low health are better equipped to attack. So, this monster can help in defeating those monsters off the battlefield.
Next came the Goblin Thief, another low health monster but a relatively heavy attacker with 2 melee attack points and 2-speed points at level 1. Its sneak ability attacks the last monster in the opponent's lineup. It helped in defeating the low health monsters at the back that my opponent used in this battle.
In the last position, I used the Chaos Agent which sadly comes with no abilities on its own and doesn't attack as well. But it is used to absorb a hit or two only. I used it at the back to protect my other lower health monster at the back. It was just there to sacrifice itself to protect others.
After the lineup, it was the time for battle.
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Yes, my strategy worked well. Using Venari Knifer and Regal Peryton in the front of the lineup gave a good defence while my other two monsters namely, the Venari Scout and Goblin Thief eliminated monsters from the back.
Do you like the Venari Knifer? Why or why not?
Yes, I love the Venari Knifer. It is one of the best attackers with quick melee attacks and good health. It makes for a perfect tank. It is very useful in mid to high range mana battles.
