Challenge Rules
AIMLESS
All monsters have the Scattershot ability.
This week we needed to play a battle with the Aimless ruleset, which means that all the ranged and magic attack monsters will attack a random enemy. The target could be even their backline as well, so it is very important where we position our troops.
The Battle Ruleset
Unprotected: Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs.
Explosive Weaponry: All Monsters have the Blast ability.
This is a very low mana cap for the battle and every color are available to play, except the Earth Splinter, so it is crucial to choose a low cost Summoner in order to leave space for some little monsters, the more we use its better.
My Lineup
Contessa L'ament
She is a Summoner from the Death Splinter and she gives -1 ranged attack to all of the enemy monsters. SHe cost only 3 mana, so it is a very good choice for this low mana battle.
Cursed Slimeball
The Cursed Slimeball is an interesting monster, because he cost only 1 mana and 1 attack damage with only 2 health. His power is his ability of Redemption, which makes him to explode when he dies and he will damage 1 on all the enemy monsters.
Corpse Fiend
This fiend's purpose is the same as his brothers from the different Splinters, which is to soak up one attack from the enemy team. He can do this, because he cost zero mana, so it is easy to squeeze him into any team.
Venari Bonesmith
The Venari Bonesmith is an excellent reward card from the previous era, because he is a magic attack creature, which is the strongest in the game and he also has the Life Leech ability. This makes him steal some health from the enemy monsters when he damages them.
The Poison is also good, but only if it triggers on the enemy, which is 50% on every hit he makes.
Soul Strangler
The Soul Strangler is a 3 mana cost ranged attack creature and on level six he has an excellent four damage, which is paired with a lucky shot from the Scattershot could easily decide the outcome of this battle.
Xenith Archer
The Xenith Archer is another low level ranged attack monster costing only two mana. She has two damage, which is nice, just need to hit her target.
The Battle

This battle was a very low mana battle, so it was crucial what kind of monster we are going to use. My opponent also picked the Death Splinter with Owster Rotwell who has the ability to provide the Magic Reflect ability to all of his minions.
The Blast ruleset is an interesting combination with the Scattershot ability, because whoever will damage the other team will also indirectly damage the two monsters next to their target.
My Soul Strangler attacked their Theorosa Nightshade, which is an amazing card for only 1 mana, but my Strangler killed her with his enourmous damage and the Blast also damaged his Carrion Shade and Ancient Leech for two damage.
This made a huge impact on the outcome of this battle, but the main reason I won this game, because my monsters were a bit quicker than the enemy monsters and I could make the first attack killing their monsters.
Do you like the Aimless Ruleset? Why or why not?
I do not really like this ruleset, because of the randomness of this ability. I like to play battles where I can use some tactics settin up my team and trying to predict what my opponent will bring. Nevertheless I keep trying to beat this ruleset with my monsters. 😁
