¡Saludos comunidad! El reto de esta semana es sobre una carta que por sus características se adapta bastante bien en diversos tipos de batallas. Particularmente, suelo usarla cuando sospecho que el enemigo usará estrategias con un soporte importante del tipo de daño mágico o de rango en su segunda línea, lo que hace de esta carta, una pieza valiosa en nuestras estrategias. Magi Necrosi, es un monstruo del Splinter de Muerte, es del tipo épico, y pertenece a la edición Chaos Legión.

Greetings community! This week's challenge is about a card that due to its characteristics adapts quite well in various types of battles. Particularly, I usually use it when I suspect that the enemy will use strategies with an important support of the type of magic damage or range in its second line, which makes this card, a valuable piece in our strategies. Magi Necrosi, is a monster of the Splinter of Death, is of the epic type, and belongs to the Chaos Legion edition.

Magi Necrosi es un monstruo interesante, ya que desde su nivel 1 cuenta con buenos atributos, y habilidades útiles. La habilidad “Snipe” permite atacar a monstruos del tipo mágico o de rango en la segunda línea enemiga, y “Camouflage” evita que este monstruo pueda ser atacado hasta que esté en la primera posición. Por lo que si contamos con una buena composición en las primeras posiciones, el potencial de Magi Necrosi se podrá aprovechar al máximo. En contraste con su nivel 3, la diferencia es un punto de daño mágico, y un punto de vida. Particularmente, como juego en la liga de Plata en el formato Moderno, uso esta carta en su nivel 1 porque poseo una copia, y su desempeño es bastante bueno. Sin embargo, usarla en su nivel 3, también es una excelente idea.

Magi Necrosi is an interesting monster, since from its level 1 it has good attributes, and useful skills. The ability "Snipe" allows attacking monsters of the magical or ranged type in the second enemy line, and "Camouflage" prevents this monster from being attacked until it is in the first position. So if we have a good composition in the first positions, Magi Necrosi's potential can be fully exploited. In contrast to his level 3, the difference is one point of magic damage, and one point of life. Particularly, as I play in the Silver league in the Modern format, I use this card at its level 1 because I own a copy, and its performance is quite good. However, using it at level 3 is also an excellent idea.

¡Pasemos a la batalla! Como les mencioné anteriormente, esta carta puede usarse bien con estrategias para batallas con distintos límites de maná. Hoy, les traigo una batalla con un límite de maná alto. En la siguiente imagen puede observar las condiciones de la partida.

Let's move on to battle! As I mentioned before, this card can be used well with strategies for battles with different mana limits. Today, I bring you a battle with a high mana limit. In the following image you can see the conditions of the game.

Usé a Thaddius Brood como invocador con la finalidad de tomar ventaja al reducir el daño mágico y la vida del enemigo en un punto. En la Primera posición usé a Harklaw, ya que por sus atributos cumple bien la función de tanque. En la Segunda posición usé a Venari Bonesmith con la finalidad de tomar ventaja al aplicarle “Poison” a los monstruos enemigos, además de contribuir al daño desde la segunda línea. También es importante destacar que su vida incrementa por cada ataque mediante su habilidad “Life Leech”, por lo que en caso de que el tanque muera, esta carta podría dar el tiempo suficiente para que el resto de la composición haga lo suyo. En la Tercera posición usé a Revealer con la finalidad de aprovechar la condición de batalla “Heavy Hitters” mediante su habilidad “Stun”, además, contribuir al daño desde la segunda línea. En la Cuarta posición usé a Lira The Dark con la finalidad de rematar a los monstruos enemigos con poca salud mediante su habilidad “Opportunity”. En la Quinta posición usé a Venari Marksrat con la finalidad de usarlo de señuelo para que una vez muera aumentar los atributos de los monstruos adyacentes, y tomar ventaja en la partida. Por último, usé a Magi Necrosi con la finalidad de atacar a los monstruos del tipo mágico o de rango en la segunda línea enemiga, de esta forma el daño de mi composición se distribuye mejor, atacando ambas líneas del enemigo, desestabilizandola mucho más rápido.

I used Thaddius Brood as a summoner in order to take advantage by reducing the enemy's magic damage and life by one point. In the first position I used Harklaw, since his attributes make him a good tank. In the second position I used Venari Bonesmith in order to take advantage by applying "Poison" to the enemy monsters, as well as contributing to the damage from the second line. It is also important to note that his life increases for each attack through his "Life Leech" ability, so in case the tank dies, this card could give enough time for the rest of the composition to do its thing. In the third position I used Revealer in order to take advantage of the battle condition "Heavy Hitters" through its ability "Stun", also contributing to the damage from the second line. In the fourth position I used Lira The Dark in order to finish off enemy monsters with low health with her "Opportunity" skill. In the fifth position I used Venari Marksrat with the purpose of using him as a decoy so that once he dies he can increase the attributes of the adjacent monsters, and take advantage in the game. Finally, I used Magi Necrosi in order to attack the monsters of the magical or ranged type in the second enemy line, so the damage of my composition is better distributed, attacking both lines of the enemy, destabilizing it much faster.

En el turno 17 de la ronda 1, Harklaw abatió a Shieldbearer. Parte de mi composición recibió daño enemigo pero aún estaba completa. Y como el enemigo perdió su tanque con “Taunt”, a partir de ahora el daño de mi composición se distribuiría mejor.

On turn 17 of round 1, Harklaw shot down Shieldbearer. Part of my composition took enemy damage but was still complete. And since the enemy lost his tank with "Taunt", from now on my composition's damage would be better distributed.

En el turno 19 de la ronda 1, Revealer abatió a Porta Spinner. El enemigo ya sólo contaba con 4 monstruos, de los cuales 3 tenían poca vida. Sin embargo su daño en conjunto seguía siendo por lo que aún podía dar pelea.

On turn 19 of round 1, Revealer shot down Porta Spinner. The enemy now had only 4 monsters, 3 of which were low on health. However, their overall damage was still high, so they could still put up a fight.

Para el turno 2 de la ronda 3, la partida dió un gran giro, ya sólo contaba con 3 monstruos, de los cuales sólo 2 podían atacar. Sin embargo, Magi Necrosi abatió a Prismologist, dejando al enemigo con tan sólo 2 monstruos. A esta altura de la batalla, el suspenso era inmenso. En el turno 2 de la ronda 4, Magi Necrosi abatió a Pelacor Arbalest, dejando al enemigo con tan sólo 1 monstruo pero cabe destacar que este es del tipo Gladius por lo que es peligroso, en mi caso sólo contaba con 2 monstruos de los cuales sólo 1 podía atacar, y el otro estaba próximo a caer pero su sacrificio no sería en vano. En el turno 1 de la ronda 5, Captain Katie había abatido a Venari Marksrat, activando su “Bloodlust” pero al hacerlo también activó la habilidad “Martyr” de Venari Marksrat lo que aumentó los atributos de Magi Necrosi, igualando el daño mágico de Captain Katie pero como sucedía en el lejano oeste, el que dispara primero gana, y así lo hizo Magi Necrosi, cerrando la batalla con una victoria. ¿Cuál fue la diferencia en las estrategias? Pues, el enemigo usó un tanque con “Taunt” pero no usó cartas en su segunda línea para darle soporte mediante la curación de vida, y escudo. Además, no tomó la prevención de usar un monstruo relativamente fuerte en la Segunda posición para que protegiera al resto de su composición en caso de que su tanque principal muriera. Estos son aspectos claves que determinan el curso de una batalla. Todo esto pueden observarlo en las siguientes imágenes.

By turn 2 of round 3, the game took a big turn, with only 3 monsters, of which only 2 could attack. However, Magi Necrosi took down Prismologist, leaving the enemy with only 2 monsters. At this point in the battle, the suspense was immense. On turn 2 of round 4, Magi Necrosi took down Pelacor Arbalest, leaving the enemy with only 1 monster but it should be noted that this is of the Gladius type so it is dangerous, in my case I only had 2 monsters of which only 1 could attack, and the other was about to fall but his sacrifice would not be in vain. On turn 1 of round 5, Captain Katie had shot down Venari Marksrat, activating her "Bloodlust" but in doing so she also activated Venari Marksrat's "Martyr" ability which increased Magi Necrosi's attributes, equalizing Captain Katie's magic damage but as it happened in the far west, he who shoots first wins, and so did Magi Necrosi, closing the battle with a victory. What was the difference in the strategies? Well, the enemy used a tank with "Taunt" but did not use cards in his second line to support him with life healing and shield. Also, he did not take the precaution of using a relatively strong monster in the Second position to protect the rest of his composition in case his main tank died. These are key aspects that determine the course of a battle. All of this can be seen in the following images.
