Hello everyone, this time I will participating in this Splinterlands Challenge, where I will show you an exciting battle in the modern ranked league.
First, let's talk a litle bit about Magi Necrosi, one of the units that I don't usually use in battles, but when I do it always shows a good performance as in the battle that I will show you. It is the only death unit that currently has the Camouflage ability, hiding itself from directly targeted attacks.
It has the Snipe ability, so it attacks the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position.
At level 4, it gains the Oppress ability, which deals double damage to enemy units that have no attack, including those buffed with Weapons Training.
And at level 6, it gains the Stun ability, making it one of only three playable death units in the Modern format that have it. The other two are Liza Fox (gladius) and Revealer (chaos). Therefore, it has a 50% chance to stun the enemy it attacks.
One little thing I want to share with you before the battle is that I advanced to Champion III today and it was my first time getting two copies of a legendary unit in a single loot chest, pretty cool.
Now, in this battle, only a maximum of 4 monsters are allowed, and only units that have 5 or more health points. And ranged units will be able to attack in the first position.
This time I used the summoner, Cryptic, which reduces the speed of enemy units by 1, and cursed them with the Blind ability, increasing the chances of melee and ranged units missing attacks.
Also, thanks to Cryptic, I decided to give the Poison and Expose ability to Djinn Oshannus and Baron Fyatt.
In the first position I used Djinn Oshannus, a very great unit against creatures that have a high attack power, thanks to his Forcefield, he only receives 1 damage from units that have 5 or more attack power. Additionally, he takes reduced damage from magic attacks and can dodge them.
To protect Oshannus I used Anasth Soothsayer, who will remove any negative effects and heal him each turn.
In the third position, Baron Fyatt, the only magic unit that has the Halving ability, reducing 50% of the target's attack, cannot stack. Additionally, he will attack in the Ambush round, and due to his Scattershot ability he will attack randomly. And in the last position, the death unit, Magi Necrosi.
In the first round, no units were defeated, but the enemy Meriput Magician was poisoned by Baron Fyatt.
In the second round, Oshannus applies poison to Blinding Reflector and the units were slightly more damaged, but none were defeated. Anash Soothsayer is the first unit to be defeated in the third round by Olivia.
In the fourth round, no one was defeated. In the fith round, Djinn Oshannus defeats the enemy Blinding Reflector. Olivia gained the Expose ability thanks to her Mimic ability in the third round, and removes Oshannus' Void ability. Enemy Iziar is poisoned by Baron Fyatt.
In the sixth round, Oshannus applies poison to Olivia. In the eighth round, Meriput Magician is defeated by the poison effect.
Djinn Oshannus is defeated in the ninth round by the poison applied by Olivia in the previous round. And Baron Fyatt is defeated by Olivia's attacks.
At this point I thought I was going to lose because the opponent still had 2 creatures, one of them was Olivia who had a lot of abilities and I only had one unit. Fortunately Olivia didn't stun or poison my Magi Necrosi, so in the eleventh round, thanks to Magi having greater speed than the enemies, it was able to attack first and destroy Olivia. In the fourteenth round, after many attacks, Magi Necrosi manages to stun Iziar, preventing her from attacking and wins the battle.
Full Battle
It was one of the closest battles I've ever had, Magi Necrosi managed to survive with only 1 HP, and thanks to the poison and stun applied to Iziar, it won the battle. Each unit did its part, Djinn Oshannus withstood many enemy attacks, Anasth protected Djinn, and Baron Fyatt did an excellent job reducing the attack of each enemy unit and poisining them thanks to Cryptic.
