This week, the ruleset we have to introduce for this challenge is the Stampede ruleset, which only works on monsters that have the Trample ability, but what does Trample do? If a unit is defeated by a unit with Trample, perform another melee attack on the next creature. With the Stampede ruleset, the trample effect can trigger multiple times if the trampling unit is killed.
Summoner: Possibilus the Wise is great with this ruleset if available, as it gives all of your units the Trample ability. Although all your units may have the Trample ability, it only works for melee attack units.
Some monsters with the Trample ability are:
In this battle, only the Stampede ruleset will be active and all elements will be available, except Life.
Samwiseg choose Akane, the dragon summoner, and decides to give the ambush ability to two monsters: Mantaroth and Venka the Vile.
In the first position is Mantaroth, who has 5 abilities. Takes 50% reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks thanks to its Shield ability. And repairs the armor of one ally per turn. Its attacks have True Strike, and it also has an extra attack with its armor. Additionally, its attacks have the Blast ability.
In the second position is Daigendark Surveyor, who for only 2 mana, has decent health and although it cannot attack, it has the Magic Reflect and reduces the enemies speed by 1.
In the third position is Anasth Soothsayer, who will help the ally in the first position with its Cleanse and Heal ability. Adjacent Anasth units take 1 less damage from sneak, snipe and opportunity attacks. Anasth's attacks Dispel positive effects on the enemy target. And has the Dodge ability, which increases the chance to evade melee and ranged attacks by 25%.
In the fourth position is Venka the Vile, the only monster on the team that can benefit from the Stampede ruleset with its Trample ability. Venka can attack from any position, and its attacks bypass the armor and deal double damage to enemies who have no attack or are trained.
xsuilx also chooses Akane as his summoner, and also gives the ambush ability to Mantaroth and Venka.
In the second position is Nimbledook Scout, who has the Backfire and the Blast ability. Also, it will increase the melee attack of melee units by 1. And thanks to Moxian Rebel who is in the third position, this card will be able to gain magic attack.
In the fourth position is Flame Mephit, who has ranged attack, and the Flying ability. Additionally, it has the Backfire ability.
xsuilx, like his opponent, also uses Mantaroth and Venka the Vile, in the first and last position respectively.
Ambush Round:
Only Mantaroth and Venka the Vile from both teams were able to attack in this round thanks to Akane. No unit was defeated.
Round 1:
Mantaroth (Samwiseg team) destroys Nimbledook Scout.
Round 2:
Venka the Vile (Samwiseg team) destroys Mantaroth, and its Trample ability activates, attacking and destroying the next unit: Moxian Rebel. Thanks to the Stampede ruleset, the trample ability activates again destroying Flame Mephit and the enemy Venka the Vile. Ending the battle quickly in this round.
That's why the Stampede ruleset is amazing. Gives the opportunity to melee attack monsters to destroy many units in a single turn. And if the monster with the trample ability is powerful enough it can destroy all units, as happened in this battle.
