This week, the ruleset we have to introduce for this challenge is the Super Sneak, a very simple ruleset. It only works on monsters that have melee attack. They will all attack the enemy unit that is in the last position. It works exactly, like the Sneak ability, but it's better because this ruleset cannot be overridden by the Back to Basics ruleset (unit abilities are removed).
Since this ruleset only affects melee monsters, playing a unit with the Shield (which reduces damage taken from melee and ranged attacks by 50%) and/or the Thorns ability (deals 2 melee damage when attacked by a melee unit) in the last position would be great against them.
You can also use units with the Demoralize ability to reduce the attack of melee units by 1, this ability can be stacked.
Note that the Super Sneak ruleset overrides the Opportunity and the Reach ability.
Some monsters that have the Sneak ability on their own are:
In this battle, in addition to the Super Sneak ruleset, all monsters will lose their abilities due to the Back to Basics ruleset.
Star-Shroud, chooses Eternal Tofu, a legendary summoner who will grant +2 health, the Snare and the Thorns ability to his allies. The thorns ability will be great against potential melee monsters. And he decides to grant the Triage and Scavenger ability to Bera Dallin.
Star-Shroud uses Albahoo Forester with 8 health, Xenith Monk with 8 health and 2 melee damage power and Temporal Master, who does 2 magic damage and has 5 health, in the first three positions.
He then uses Bera Dallin, who has 14 health and 7 armor and deals 3 melee damage, a truly durable unit, Runemancer Ataut, who deals 3 magic damage and has 10 health and Grimbardun Smith who has no attack, but that's okay since he will take the attack from enemy melee units, in the last positions.
Elbryans-beard chooses Lorkus, a legendary summoner, to increase the attack of his melee and magic monsters. And he will grant the Life Leech (the unit's health increases each time it damages an enemy unit's health by half the damage dealt) and the Affliction ability to Djinn Apprentice and Magi of Chaos.
He uses two melee monsters in the first two positions: Grum Flameblade, a tough tank unit with 15 health and 5 armor, and Tusk the Wide, with 14 health. Both units are very slow, but have a lot of hit points.
And 3 magic units: Djinn, Demise Archon and Magi of Chaos, which are the units that will cause a lot of damage to the enemy units since they are vulnerable to magic. And the new soulbound card Kha'zi Conjurer, which only costs 2 mana and does 4 ranged damage.
Round 1:
Magi of Chaos destroys Albahoo Forester.
Round 2:
-Bera Dallin defeats Magi of Chaos.
-Demise Archon Fauts destroys Xenith Monk.
Round 3:
-Djinn Apprentice destroys Temporal Master.
-Grum Flameblade is destroyed by the thorns ability when it attacks Bera Dallin.
Round 4:
Tusk the Wide destroys Bera Dallin.
Round 5:
Runemancer Atuat defeats Djinn Apprentice.
Round 6:
Djinn Apprentice destroys Runemancer Atuat.
Round 7:
Djinn Apprentice ends the battle by destroying Grimbardun Smith.
In this battle, Star-Shroud chose Tofu to give his monsters the thorns ability thinking that the enemy would play melee units. But the opponent focused on playing magic units and boosting their attack with Lorkus. Elbryans didn't care about the Super Sneak ruleset, playing Magi of Chaos in the last position. He played much more aggressively than Shroud and this time it worked, winning the battle with 3 monsters alive.
