Splinterland Social Media Challenge - Exploring Monster in the Water Splinter (Tutorial)

in #hive-133233 months ago

Holla Splinterfans :

So lately, alot of hivers have really shown interest in the game splinter, but they are finding it quite difficult to start. Sometime, I met with a friend on twitter when I posted my social media challenge and he said he played splinterland sometime ago.

According to him, he would still be playing it if he haven't got alot on his plate.

Another said he has the app but don't know what to do with it as it gets confusing. I had thought to put him through this holiday we had but I just got really occupied with family.

The thing with Splinterlands is that it's an innovation, another entire world, a universe on its own.

When I first started, I needed someone to walk me through every details about it, so I get it when someone is finding it difficult to understand the graphics, what card to choose and how to know the navigation of things.

So I decided to start from somewhere in carrying them along.

Cards To Explore.

We Splinterfam know they are different Splinters, but if you're just coming in I suggest you first of all get familiar with a particular Splinter before exploring another. The idea and most important however is knowing what to look at for when choosing a card and set of team.

Its not rocket science to be the best at putting pieces of cards that works well together, it's just for you to have the ability to explore each cards and know more about them in a particular Splinter

Lets Talk About Water

I find Cards in the water Splinter to be the simplest form of cards when starting out, the first thing to know is to know which card will be good in the tank and other position, which card blends well with the set of mana cost given. Obviously, any card in the tank position should be the most tactic and powerful.

Summoner

Well The only Summoner I recommend for starters in the water Splinter is my all time favorite Kelya, don't ask me why I think she got the position....

Ok I'll spill lol, a Summoner is like a leader and she is very good at the job.

The Tank Position:

Starting out in the Tank position there are two types of card that fits this roll

Diemon Shark is a very popular card that even the most experience player on splinterlands still use it on rare occasion for most battles.

First this monster is powerful, the mana cost is strong, the health is excellent plus the shield, the speed great and the attack super.

So it's either you use this in the tank position that is if given alot of mana cost to work with.

However when the mana cost is average or below, you can use Deeplurker instead in the tank position, not witstaing deeplurker can also be use in the goto tank position.

Infact to make this more simpler, you can always alternate between using Diemon shark or Deeplurker either in the tank or goto tank position.

Like I said before, the most important thing is knowing which to use base on the total mana cost given on a particular battle.

Other tankers or Goto tank

I havent really used Flying sqiud in the tank position before, but seeing his mana cost, health and speed, maybe he can do better, however he does pretty great in the goto tank position. So when using it, it's either you experiment him on the tankers position or just put him in the goto tank

Though Mar toren's health is very low, I love him because of the ability he posses, he won't go for the tank postion because of his range attack. However, goto tank position or the third position will be best for him, if you look closely his speed is ok and he is quite fast in the battle field.

Tank Healer

The only Tank healer in the Water Splinter that is a starter card is Merdaali Guardian, though you can get any other tank healers just by renting or buying. But if you are just starting out, I recommend using starter cards to flex your glut before going for more bigger cards.

That said and done, tank healers are always in the third or forth position.

If you notice, Merdaali doesn't posses any attack, so don't really expect much from this card, her job practically is just to fill the tank healers position and heal the tanker. She is not bred for attack like other tank healers.

Summary

And that is that, you can get started with these set of card, and to fill the rest positions you can explore any other cards as well, but these particular ones listed above are just what I feel will make your team stronger.

See you next week for more epic battles !
