If you remember the early days of Splinterlands (er, Steem Monsters), you likely remember getting Beta card after Beta card when you finished your daily quests. Some of you (like me) probably had multiple accounts that you were using to complete daily quests and earn the beloved cards.
Then reward cards came out and suddenly those Beta cards started to become more rare. While the reward cards were nice many of us lamented the fact that we it was now harder to get those Beta cards. I mean who doesn't love free? Especially when you are talking every day.
Then, once again things changed. Due to various reasons which I have little desire to argue with, the team at Splinterlands started scaling back on the reward cards and started giving out things like DEC, potions, and other items. While many people were likely happy to never see another Rusty Android dropped into their account again, many of us missed the days of cards abundently appearing in our accounts.
Here we are (how many?) years later and we are once again seeing another change to the way rewards are distributed. I will be honest and tell you right now I didn't pay too much attention to the post. I just know that according to them they are going to make some adjustments.
Well, if my daily quest rewards today are any indication of the changes they are going to make, I am not complaining one bit!
As you can see from the image above, I had some pretty decent pulls today. These are from the Gold I league and honestly for me, the only thing that could have made it better was pulling an epic card too. The random number generator (RNG) gods must be shining down on you if you can pull a legendary and a gold foil out of eight dropped cards.
At least it feels like they are shinging down on me.
Maybe I am wrong and this has nothing to do with the adjustments they made or are going to make. If that is the case, I'll still take it! I think we all of have seen our share of one card and a handful of DEC daily rewards. It's days like these that keep you going. This is what we play for! Okay, this is what I play for.
Anyway, I was pretty excited about this and I felt the need to share. I tried to add some more substance to this post so it would hoepfully pass the threshold and not be considered a "look what I got crap post".
Happy hunting everyone!
