Greetings dear Splinterlands community, I welcome you to a new post dedicated to battle mage secrets where we must overcome a battle with a particular challenge and in this case it is the ruleset: Noxious Fumes.

🍄 Noxious Fumes
Noxious Fumes is a ruleset that really tests our skills as it implies that all units start the battle poisoned, so for each turn that passes the monsters will receive +2 damage to health.
Noxious Fumes es una ruleset que verdaderamente pone a prueba nuestras habilidades ya que implica que todas las unidades comienzan la batalla envenenados, asi que por cada turno que pase los monstruos recibirán un daño de +2 a la salud.
There are ways to deal with this ruleset, the most used are units with the ability to heal themselves, with skills to heal affliction effects such as the cleance skill that is applied to the tank in first position and ultimately this is the preferred skill in these cases: immunity. These are the skills that statistically speaking are the most used.
Existen maneras de lidiar con esta ruleset, las más utilizadas son unidades con la capacidad de sanarse, con habilidades para sanar efectos de aflicción como la habilidad cleance que se aplica al tanque en primera posición y en última instancia esta la habilidad preferida en estos casos: immunity. Estas son las habilidades que estadísticamente hablando son las más utilizadas.
Heal/Cleance & Immunity/
However, there are skills that have gone unnoticed and that represent a great advantage in the presence of this ruleset and they are life leech and scavenger, the first skill allows you to steal life per hit while the second increases life for each monster fallen on the battlefield.

Ancient Lich & Dark Ha´On
Both skills have in common that they increase the maximum life of the monster, if this is combined with other skills such as heal tank or heal we will have a monster that can comfortably support this ruleset.

🎏⚔️Rules battle/Reglas de batalla
This battle is characterized by a mana limit of 14 and the possibility of choosing all the splinters except for the death class and 2 rulesets stand out: Noxious Fumes, the rule that concerns us in this weekly and little league challenge in which only We can use units with a maximum cost of 4 mana. Under these conditions our best option is to use a class that favors our speed, so we will use the water class.
Esta batalla se caracteriza por un limite de mana de 14 y la posibilidad de escoger todos los splinter a excepción de la clase muerte y se destacan 2 ruleset: Noxious Fumes, la regla que nos compete en este reto semanal y little league en el que solo podremos usar unidades con un coste máximo de 4 de mana. 🧙♂️Summoner/Invocador: Kelya Frendul
This will be a battle that I believe will be defined mainly by ranged or magic attack type units, so our priority should focus on landing the first blow. Thus, Kelya Frendul will be our best option in this battle, since she not only gives us speed but also +1 defense.

👾 Monsters/Monstruos: Xenith Monk
This was the card that took me the longest to get to level 6 since along with Kelya Frendul, Diemonshark and Cursed Windeku it was the most expensive rare card in the Chaos Legion edition. Now that we have it in our possession, it becomes a great mini-tank that is not only resistant to magical attacks but also has abundant health and can be healed with its Heal ability.

One of the key epic cards that this class has, Igor Darkspear is a range attack card with a low mana cost but a large amount of life, which ensures that it can withstand several rounds of poison while continuing to attack, it also has the ability stun that allows us to incapacitate the tank in the first position.

This card applies a series of afflictions that offer a great advantage such as preventing the target from healing and applying poison, but on this occasion the ability that we will take advantage of in this card is the scavenger that allows it to increase its maximum life with each death on the field. of battle, this will make it resistant to the poison effect each turn.
Nuestra siguiente carta es la pieza más importante de todas, se trata de Dr. Blight obtenerla fue producto de años de paciencia, constancia reuniendo recursos y aprovechar momentos oportunos. 👾 Torrent Fiend
To close our lineup we will use Torrent Fiend. Although this unit is frequently used to cover the rear, in this case its purpose is different since here the attacks will surely be directed at our vanguard. The purpose of this card is to sacrifice yourself in the 1st round to increase Dr. Blight's maximum health and increase his maximum health.
Para cerrar nuestra alineación usaremos a Torrent Fiend. Aunque esta unidad se usa frecuentemente para cubrir la retaguardia, en este caso su propósito es otro ya que aquí los ataques seguramente estarán dirigidos a nuestra vanguardia. ⚔️Strategy and battle lineup/Estrategia y alineación de batalla
When sending the battle and observing the enemy lineup it seems strange that he also uses Xeniyh Monk, perhaps his strategy was based on a tank with high melee damage supported by magical units buffed by the summoner. But luckily we're using Xenith Monk. Let's see how this battle develops.
Al enviar la batalla y observar la alineación enemiga se hace extraño que utilice también a Xeniyh Monk, quizás su estrategia se baso en un tanque con alto daño melé respaldado por unidades mágicas buffeadas por el invocador. 💥Round 1💥
In the first round, although we failed to attack the Venari, Dr. Blight did manage to affect it. For our part, the Xenith Monk managed to resist the enemy's magical attacks and the Venari Scout's onslaught.

In the second round the poison exerts its relentless effect, weakening not only the venari scout but also the Spellsmith. This is where we take the opportunity to begin our attack: Xenith monk eliminates the Venari Scout and with the combined attack of Igor Darkspear and Dr. Blight we dispatch Blackmoor Nymph, leaving the Venari Spellsmith at the mercy of the poison in the next round.
En el segundo round el veneno ejerce su efecto implacable debilitando no solo al venari scout sino también al Spellsmith. In this last round everything is already defined, the Venari Spellsmith falls due to the poison and although it activates his redemption ability, the defense of our units protects us from the physical damage that this ability exerts.

🌊 Conclusions/Conclusiones
- We achieved a quick victory where Dr. Blight's scavenger skill already gave us a clear advantage even in the worst case scenario if we had lost the tank from the first round. This skill is very underrated because at first instance healing or immunity seem to be the most advantageous options but forget that scavenger increases the maximum life and in battles with a lot of monsters on the battlefield you can end up getting a monster that has increased its life by several orders of magnitude.
- Logramos así una victoria rápida donde la habilidad carroñero del Dr. Blight ya nos daba una clara ventaja incluso en el peor escenario si hubiéramos perdido el tanque desde el primer round. Esta habilidad es muy menos preciada ya que a primera instancia sanación o immunity parecen ser las opciones más ventajosas se olvida que carroñero aumenta la vida máxima y en batallas con gran cantidad de monstruos en el campo de batalla puedes terminar obteniendo un monstruo que ha aumentado su vida en varios ordenes de magnitud.
