After a poor 1—2 showing last Brawl I was hoping for more battles and a better winning percentage. Lucky for me I was slated for seven battels this time around. The second piece, winning more battles was going to be up to me...

Tarsa the Range Champ

I don't own, or typically rent a Yodin, so Fire hasn't been my go to for range heavy battles in the past. If I went Fire, I looked to maximize Tarsa's buff and went melee heavy. Sloan's +1 range buff led me in the Life direction.

The addition of range only battles, several strong Rift range cards and my recent upgrade of several Fire cards has led me down the path of going Fire heavy for Range only battels. THE +1 health buff from Tarsa is still huge and if melee is allowed the heavy hitters can still be used up front. The caveat is that a lo tof the best Fire range cards have a heavy mana cost, so this doesn'r work as well for lower mana fights.

CARD	WHY DID I CHOOSE IT?
	High health and close range make Molten a solid tank option
	A solid secondary tank with close range and high health. The Silence ability is useless this battle, but a strong ability for those battles when magic is coming your way
	Headwinds is the perfect ability for this range only battle. Decent health and 2 attack is a nice bonus.
	I don't own this card (I should) but thanks to this being a Brawl there is no penalty for the F2P cards. Blast is going to help deal the opponent extra damage with each hit.
	I wish I had upgraded Scavo to level four sooner. Three range and five health for four mana is huge.
	If Bloodlust kicks in Sarius will become a beast.

This battle is a great example why I don't suggest Sloan for high mana range only battles. There are some heavy hitters my opponent deployed, but low health and my use of Headwinds turned their lineup into easy pickings. Don't get me wrong, Sloan has some great high mana options, but for range only battles many of those options, are off the table and handcuff the options.

Wow, what a Brawl for the Calzones! One win away from tying for first place and our best point total ever. 47—30 overall is a great result for us. The step up to tier two has really been great for us. And look at all those merits and SPS 👀 We are taking home almost enough merits per Brawl for a pack each time at this rate! With Galdius cards becoming playable during ranked battles this is becoming even more of a bonus. Even better things are coming for the Calzones as we are on the trek for Tier three. It will take some time to get there, but if we keep up these results it will come sooner rather than later.
