I hope you all havign a good monday, not an easy start of the week but still many are enjoying their summer/holidays ! This week we have a newly introduced Ruleset that would be our guest:
Shades Of Gray
- Only Neutral Units take part in the battlefield
If I might say a VERY limiting ruleset as most of us are gathering specific elements strong cards and neutrals are often disregarded.
However, one of the neutrals are making a lot of noises during this current meta and it's no other than Venka the Vile
Charge, Piercing and Trample are a hella combination that can melt an entire team by itself !
Enough rambling, I don"t have venka and it's too expensive...
- Mid Mana Cap 31 Mana
- Death and Life Available
- Equalizer & Shades of Gray Rulesets
With this I have decided to go as follow by using a Life Summoner:
Summoner
Ability: +1 Ranged Damage
I have picked this summoner since some neutral monsters are decent Ranged Damage dealers and it's only right to buff their damage, especially since the enemy team can't have access to Quick that would nullifu Sloan's buff!
Tank
Ability: Demoralize + Trample + Knock out + Retaliate
At lower levels, this monster is kinda useless given its right mana cost for little stats, but the higher its level the more interesting it gets till the final level that gives its the power to take on the Tank Position and Punish the enemy tank by the Demoralize and Retaliate
2nd Posiiton
Ability: Dodge
using this monster as a secondary tank is highly beneficial because of the Equalizer Ruleset (and we got some spare mana). Having a higher health with Dodge ability would allow it to survive longer than intended ang give my damage dealers a bigger room to fire !
3rd Position
Ability: Flying + Close Range + Deathblow
A third Tank if I daresay as well as one of the biggest damage dealers. The combination of Equalizer, Flying and Close Range can put it as an evasive strong tank while the Sloan buff will bump its Damage to 5 Ranged
4th Posiiton
Ability: Switfness + Strenghten
A Fan Favorite in Diamond+ games as any Speed advantage would boost the chances of Victory! Being a Neutral card that Will benefit from the Sloan Ranged Damage Buff would make it a must have monster on the team while buffing even more our monsters health in the Equalizer Ruleset
5th Position
Ability: None
Picking this monster for its utility as a low mana monster, as for 2 Mana, we get a monster with a decent speed at 4 and a buffed ranged damage at 3.
6th Position
Ability: Sneak + Poison
A Sneak Counter if enemy played any and a Backline destroyer with 3 Damage & the synergy of Sneak + Poison. Althought Equalize Ruleset offsets the utility of Sneak but an early Poison would be enough for the job!

The Battle
It seems the opponent had a similar thought about going for the speed manipulation, in fact he got the upper hand in terms of Speed so let's see how it unfolds !
Round 1
- My team have a massive advantage in terms of damage despite being down in speed
- First Blood drawn by Gargoya Devil slaying the Gargoya Lion with a massive strike
- Enemy put a decent sneak counter while my sneak monster got poisonned at the 1st round, the good thing is Demoralize reduced the danger of Enemy Uraeus !
Round 2
- What a massive Damage output from my Rangers, an astronomical total of 12 Damage per turn
- The clock couldn't survive the barrage
- My uraeus turns back the favor by poisonning the Chaos agent, still some health for both of them to hold on till next round !
Round 3
- Not a favorable outcome during this Round:
- Both my archers missed threir shots on enemy Gargoya
- My Uraeus defeated the Chaos Agent but got slayed by the mirror Uraeus
- My Gargoya Devil managed to take a big chunk of health from its opponents Tank !
Round 4
- Supply Runner redemption arc begins as it puts an end to Gargoya's Life
- However unexpectedly, Enemly Supply Runner 10% Evasion Chance saved him from the dealy claws of My Gargoya Devil
Round 5
- The 2nd Takedown for my Supply Runner as it keeps its redemption arc alive
- Look at the beauty of the DeathBlow Ability taking over the battle in Fashin to clinch the VICTORY for 1 SPS + 40 Trophies

After Battle Commentary
- That was a pretty cool battle given all the limitations regarding the ruleset.
- On the other side, if we had a decent Weapons training Monster, some cool plays can be put since there are decent Attackless Neutral monsters like the Clock and Chaos Agent
- Buffing my team's damage and synergy was the clear key to my victory!
