The new weekly Share your Battle Challenge has been replaced by the Baggle Mage Secrets Challenge. The new challenge is no longer about a single card, but about a rule for the battles.
I like this very much, so one has more flexibility what one wants to show. Also, it is important for all newcomers to understand the single rules to be able to understand which cards can work well.
This also helps enormously in the guild brawls to achieve better results.

Damage returned is equal to damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
Ranged attack units with the Reflection Shield ability do not take damage from reflected magic attacks.
The Amplify ability increases damage.
In Fire and Regret, all units receive the Return Fire ability at the beginning of the battle. This means that enemy units attacking with ranged attacks will have damage thrown back at them. The strength of the counterattack depends on the damage inflicted by the original attack. The reflected damage is equal to half of the attacker's damage, rounded up. This rule provides a powerful defense against enemy ranged units.
Another tactical component of Fire and Regret is the Amplify ability. Units with this ability can increase the damage they inflict. This can make a crucial difference in battles under this rule. Players should utilize the Amplify ability to maximize their damage and overwhelm their opponents.
Further, this rule naturally leads to Meele and Magic cards becoming more important, as you tend to want to do without Ranged.
For this match, melee and magic cards are particularly useful, so I'll try my luck with the Earth Splinter.
Lineup
My only gold level Summoner and with him I can play a Gladius card. The speed penalty is always nice too, because speed is king.
Since enemy magic damage is to be expected, Alvar is a good choice. In addition, he benefits from Equalizer, since he has rather few base hit points. Another plus is the Giantkiller ability if the enemy tank is a big guy.
The Mushroom Mage has one important ability: Rust! With it I reduce the Armor in the opponent team. Not unimportant for my strategy.
Repair is another building block in my setup. I expect that Alvar can stay alive much longer and my backline gets enough time.
Katrelba is supposed to be my winning factor in this match. With her 6 damage to the rearmost position, she is very dangerous.
On the second last position follows Uraeus, a card with sneak attack. In addition, Poison, which often serves well with Equalizer, because the creatures then often have many hit points.
Since we are talking about hit points, on the last position I put Biljka, who reduces the hit points in the opponent team by one point.
The Battle
As expected a lot of magic damage... some very strong cards in my opponent's lineup, some cards also have a level advantage, let's go!
Ouch, Alvar has already lost all his armor. But my opponent's healer #1 is already down and my Gladius card is about to get its first kill. This kill could be very decisive.
Round 2 continues as round 1, Alvar gets the full load of damage and my sneak attackers take on the backline. Dr. Blight could be a problem, but he can't be attacked until he's in tank position.
Minus 1 for me, minus 2 for my opponent, the race seems to be in my favor.
The Scavo-Hireling can't repair anything now, but with the 11 hit points it makes an excellent meat shield.
Due to the order of attacks, there are no more kills for my Gladius card, but there are less and less cards on the board... for my opponent and for me.
Dr. Blight is really unpleasant, his Poison hits felt 100%....
And now there are also missed attacks in my team. But at least Katrelba is about to land the 2nd. kill. This should actually be the end...
...and so it is. The Gladius cards are simply very strong. GG!
Summary
My strategy with Douple-Sneak and the weakening by Rust and Weakness was a direct hit. And that even though my opponent had a slight advantage in card level. In the end, my lineup was probably just a little better.
As always, it wasn't just Fire an Regret that was important, Equalizer was almost the more important rule in this game.
See you soon on the battlefield!
