Hello everyone! Welcome to another Splinterlands Weekly Challenge. This week we will feature Life Sapper from the Death Element.
THE LORE
THE STATS
Life Sapper has two abilities namely life leech and redemption.
The life leech is unlocked at level one while the redemption is unfortunately unlocked at level 8 which is life sapper's max level.
THE RULESET
The ruleset includes:
EQUALIZER - The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
ODD ONES OUT - Only Monsters with odd Mana costs may be used in battles.
The MANA CAP for this battle is 26.
The available summoners are FIRE, EARTH, LIFE, DEATH and DRAGON.
MY LINE UP
THE SUMMONER
THE SQUAD
For my tank, I used Crypt Beetle because of its Shield which reduces the melee and range attack of enemy monsters. I really like playing monsters with shield ability together with the summoner Thaddius Brood. There will be a lot of negative buffs on enemy monsters. The minus one health and minus one magic damage from Thaddius Brood is plays well.
For my second position I used Chaos Agent as a secondary tank. Although he has no attacks whatsoever, he can be a good tank even at level 3 because of his dodge ability plus he is also a one mana cost monster.
For my third position, I used Death Elemental because of his snipe ability. I want backline range and magic monsters to have lower hp when they reach first position.
For my fourth position is our main man, the Life Sapper. I like picking monster with life leech ability on equalizer rulesets because they gain additional health when they damage enemy monsters and by the time they reach the first position, they got a lot of health which make them harder to deal with and make room for my Dhampir Stalker to make more attacks before he gets in the first position if ever.
For my fifth position, I used Dhampir Stalker. With his true strike ability, he cannot miss a single shot which is why I chose him as my damage dealer.
For my last position monster, I used Silent Sha-Vi which can attack at any position because of his sneak ability. It has also high chance of evading sneak attacks from the enemy because of its high speed of 5 at level 5.

BATTLE DISCUSSION
Did my strategy worked? It did worked thanks to the low level tank crypt beetle of the enemy. I manage to take his tank first making his Silent Sha-vi taking the first position on the third round of the battle thus no monster left to attack my backline monsters. On the fourth round, his Dhampir stalker is in the first position which he cannot attack from there.
What will I try differently next time? Depending on the situation, I like using Life Sapper together with Venari Bonesmith which also has a life leech ability and poison ability at level 4.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I really like using Life Sapper. In fact, I used him a lot together with Venari bonesmith. This is also situational though. I use him a lot especially on mid mana cap battles. Even though Life Sapper is a low health monster, his life leech ability is really good plus its two magic damage.
