INTRO
Welcome Guys to the Very First Share Your Battle Challenge in this New Year of 2023. I'm very excited to be creating another Battle Challenge and Sharing it with you guys. The Share Your Battle Challenge is Hosted by the Splinterlands Team Every Week and For this Week the Challenge Theme is a Monster from the Death Splinter
.
Challenge Theme - Cursed Windeku
Cursed Windeku is a Monster from the Death Elemental and the Chaos of Legion Card Edition, and Today I'll be sharing my Latest Battle using Cursed Windeku with You Guys. Cursed Windeku is a Fairly Popular Monster and I really appreciate His Strengths and Have Even Created a Post Around his Utility in the Past.
This is a Monster that I have the Courage of Winning a Battle Whenever I Use him, Unlike Some other Monsters
which I Know will Require Maximum Effort on my part and a Precise Strategy.
What Do I Mean?
Simply that - Cursed Windeku is a Fantastic Monster that has a lot of Advantages Over other Monsters of His Rank.
The Highlight of this Monster / My First Impressions Are:
A Fantastic Monster that Will Guaranteed Me High Win-Rate
A Monster that has an advantage over his Peers
(i.e, Other Tank Monsters)
Now, Let's Introduce Cursed Windeku
Cursed Windeku is a Death Monster that Comes with +9 Health, +3 Speed, +2 Melee Attack, and Costs Just 6 Mana.
Furthermore, Cursed Windeku Possesses a Champ Ability Called Thorns
(Similar to Dragon Card - Djinn Chwala), That Reflects Damages to Enemy Monsters
THORNS
: When hit with a Melee Attack, Does damage back to the attacker.
Considering all these Stats, Cursed Windeku is an Excessively Underrated Monster, it could Easily Compete with Dragon Cards (I Mean it Packs a Whole 9 Health, and It has Average Speed
). The Two Main Stats I Desire in Monsters (Speed n Health).
I think that Far from being a Well Rounded Monster, It is of Superior Quality and advantage in Battle For Just 6 Mana Cost (Literally, the Icing on the Top).
Using Cursed Windeku Against a Melee Team
, and With Good Backup Monsters
will improve my chances of Victory in Battles, And that is Exactly what I've Done!
Time to Share My Battle
The Battle I'm about to share can be Described as Quick Paced
, Fun
, Short and Competitive
.
There Were a lot of Elements at Work, Literally all Monsters were Attacking and Because it was a High Mana Battle (of 28), there were at least 5 Monsters in Both Team lineups, Leaving Not Even a Single Moment of Dullness. Keep Ur Eyes Peeled for the Battle!
Battle Details:
Strangely, I'm Battling Against a Death Element Using Death Myself. And this caused me a Slight Worry at the Start of the Battle for Two main Reasons-
(1) A Similar Monster Line-up from Team Death
(2)The Summoner Choice of My Opponent (Thaddius Brood) Distributing Perks that Worked against me.
Battle Lineup:
My Battle Lineup Consists of the Base Set of Cards from COL Death Team Including, Life Sapper which I delved deep into in my Last Splinterlands Post;
ROUND 1
The Battle Begins with Summoners Distributing their Perks, I Chose Drake of Arnak (a Dragon Summoner) which Distributes +1 Shield. This was largely Strategic on my Part in Picking this Monster since I wanted to protect the Low Health Monsters early in the Game. This Must-have Threw my Opponent off since All His Round 1 Attacks were Blocked by Shield.
On my Opponents Part, Thaddius brood Lowered my Magic Attack and my Health by One, this was like a Counter Strategy to my +1 Shield Perk on All Monsters. I Still preferred my Health being Lowered though over Having Zero Shield.
ROUND 2
In Round 2, the Battle Continues as Both Team Monsters Kept Dealing Attacks. Not Surprisingly, About 3 of my Monsters Shield were not Destroyed. Scavo Hireling Ensured that Cursed Windeku's Destroyed Shield was Restored More than Once.
Meanwhile, Cursed Windeku as the Main Attack force
Was Using his Thorn Ability to Overpower the Tank from the Opponent's Team, before Finally Eliminating him Before the End of this Round.
ROUND 3
Round 3 was like the Shortest Round so Far, as Some Monsters from Both Teams had been Lost. The Battle Hence stood at 3 Monsters from the Opponent's Team Vs Four Standing Monsters in my Team.
ROUND 4
Round 4 Being the Decisive Round, as I was able to Seal of the Battle by Striking Down All three Monsters in the Enemy Team Through the Sole Efforts of Cursed Windeku
- Coming from the Combination of his Direct Hits and his Thorn Ability Reflect Damages. Since Most Monsters in the Opponent's Death Team were Melee Attackers, this greatly increased the Effectiveness of Cursed Windeku Making him the Man of the Match
xd.
