What I wrote last time on this game rule:
This was around 10 Months ago and the main difference right now is pretty clear in the values of cards that were already down a lot crashed more since there is little to no reason for anyone to actually hold these cards.
Card | Price 10 Months Ago | Price Now | Difference |
---|---|---|---|
Selenia Sky | 30.00$ | 16.95€ | -44% |
Camila Sungazer | 20.00$ | 6.48$ | -67% |
Kretch Tallevor | 0.89$ | 0.35$ | -61% |
Prince Julian | 4999$ | 2950$ | -41% |
This is about to get worse as another set of reward cards will be released increasing the variance and allowing players to dump cards that were paid for since they can continue running their bot with cards that were earned and are soulbound. <See: Are Reward Card s Killing The Game)
I have gotten tot a point where I lost all hope for Splinterlands ever recovering given how many obvious big mistakes are made in the development and 'economy fixes'. I turned a bot back on in Wild and am highly enjoying the extra hour+ of free time each day. So the battle challenge from here on out will all be matches that Archamage put it similar to how likely 98% of battles in Wild are just submitted by bots.
The other 2 rules for this battle were that all melee monsters got the sneak attack and all monsters got a 100% hit rate.
Similar to my own personal preference, Archmage also opted for the Camila Sungazer Legendary Dragon Summoner. This combined with the Death Class which have the Cursed Windeku as one of the better tank options since it has self-heal and Thorns. The other choices were quite interesting playing only 1 other Melee monster which was the Furious Chicken in the backline. As 2nd Place monster, the Venari Bonesmith was chosen which has some nice abilities in that it does poison, clears positive effects and picks up some health on every attack. The Ravenhood Warden is a must-inlude that I also always use and the Shadow Presence also is a very useful card in this low mana battle as it gives extra health and +1 Melee attack while it has some good health to stay alive. A more interesting choice was the Undead Archer which I would never have thought about myself even though it does make sense as it counter armor and also counters healing.
My opponent want for a way more straightforward approach playing a full Melee stack which I likely also would have done.
This battle made 4.88 SPS of which 35% goes to archmage leaving 3.17 SPS while a 15-day entry pass for wild at the moment cost 2000 DEC or 236 SPS so yeah, there is pretty much nothing left of real earnings from botting Wild which makes it no wonder that card prices contontinue to crash.
