The Guild Experience
Being part of a guild has mostly been a fun more social experience in Splinterlands aside of some hassle which always comes along when dealing with humans. Our DEC Hunters guild mostly has players who have been in the game for a long time and it shows as there is some serious fatigue and burn out going on.
Nearly everyone is playing in Wild running a bot as it's simply not realistic to demand 1-hour+ of daily manual play and everyone experienced the asset value decline so going through that all over again paying up for Modern cards for most simply isn't an option. I kind of assume this is the case in many of the mid-higher level Guilds. What drove excitement in the past were mainly the earnings and the believe that assets could go up in value and with that gone and just the 'gameplay' left (which mostly is done by bots) there simply isn't enough for everyone to stay.
The Brawl
The First match was a pretty much one where I could use many of the Melee Monsters which turned into an easy win.
In the 2nd match I didn't really take the time properly to make the best possible deck which wouldn't have mattered anyway as my opponent had some of the expensive meta cards which left me without a chance whatsoever.
In the 3rd match, my opponent only played 2 cards which could have worked if his main tank stayed alive longer. Overall an easy win
The 4th match was a pretty fun and even one showing the potential of how fun Splinterlands as a game could be. The fact that I managed to play one of the Gladius cards which picked up a lot of stats helped me take the win.
The 5th match was one where my opponent had the powercreep expensive meta cards leaving me with no chance.
The 6th match I managed to take the win mainly because I owned and played 2 key cards for the specific game rules
The Rewards
With only 89 out of 158 battles submitted due to inactivity in the guild, we ended in last place which used to be frustrating but it has gotten to a point where I don't even care anymore since the rewards are small regardless.
The 9 players that were put in place to play a brawl as it's better to have them filled and not submitted combined have 17 Million collection power which is fully left for what it is.
Overall 50 SPS rewards for submitting 6 matches is not too bad at the moment and it pays more than the 3x what an equal amount of Ranked Games pay.
Conclusion
The state of Brawls and what I assume is the average guild at the moment right now very much reflects the overall Sentiment of Splinterlands players which is pretty down right now. Brawls when they were new while rewards were higher used to be a lot more fun compared to what they are now. It continues to be my only manual play of the game these days.
