It's been a while since I've brought any news regarding my progress in Splinterlands, what I can say at this point is that I'm still playing, but despite numerous changes that have happened to the game in recent weeks, this time the things had a difference that could have some consequences over time and perhaps time could be the equalizer of these decisions.
Changes anywhere, especially when it comes to games, can lead to positives, but depending on your large audience, things can take an undesirable turn. For me, I always knew that in Splinterlands, the team needed to find ways to attract more players, as we know that today the game exists thanks to the loyalty of old players.

I really admire the team's effort in trying to create a new layout in battle modes, new battle rules and also new cards, but in some situations like this latest update, will it work?

Now there is Wild Pass
One of the changes that is evident in its impact is the Wild Pass , this fee must be paid so that now the player who wishes to choose the Wild battle mode will have to pay a fee corresponding to 2,000 DEC. Looking at it from this point of view, could this affect new players? Did the SPL team really try to think about that?
Generally when you are a new player, it takes a lot longer for you to get your ROI, should anyone be worried about this? Today it's even harder now to worry about paying 4,000 DEC a month for a battle mode when before I wouldn't pay anything to play.
Thinking about a new player who has an initial investment, it may even seem like a low value since in addition to the option of paying with DEC, we can also pay with our Vouchers that we receive daily because of our SPS stake. If we compare it to what is charged in DEC, paying 40 Voucher will cost $0.89. In other words, in just one month we would pay 80 Vouchers for $1.78.

Change of Strategy
But thinking about that experienced player or player who is starting out, but for some reason has bots, if one of these players has 10 bots, these values start to become unsustainable, right? The Wild Pass idea of making some players migrate to the Modern battle mode could work, especially because I'm one of those players who momentarily stopped playing Wild.
As I don't have bots and my savings don't allow me to venture into Wild mode, I will choose to play Modern mode. I had to deactivate 56 Wild card delegations that I supported. Some of the low levels I still have in my deck, but I will only delegate some again if I join Brawl and also participate in events.
I didn't want to make this forced change, but I try to see something positive in all of this. I noticed that even though I'm at Bronze I, my SPS gains are much higher compared to higher levels in Wild. The bad thing about this is that I don't receive a lot of Glints, but I think that over time I will try to increase my SPS stake and delegation to improve this.

Concluding
I honestly don't know what these first weeks will be like, some veteran players have already made their decisions to stop playing clear and this could also be reflected in the domestic market as there is little demand for Wild cards, their prices could drop considerably.
For now I will remain where I am, as much as things are changing “drastically” with this rate to play, I believe that as time passes, Splinterlands may show some signs that its direction is improving. May more new players come, because that's what we need.

Faz um bom tempo que não trago nenhuma novidade em relação ao meu progresso em Splinterlands, o que posso dizer neste momento é que eu continuo sim jogando, mas apesar de inúmeras mudanças que aconteceram no game nas ultimas semanas, dessa vez as coisas tiveram uma diferença que pode ter algumas consequências ao longo do tempo e talvez o tempo poderá ser o equalizador dessas decisões.
Mudanças em qualquer lugar principalmente se referindo a jogos podem ocasionar pontos positivos, mas dependendo do seu grande público, as coisas podem ter um rumo indesejado. Para mim eu sempre soube que em Splinterlands, a equipe precisava encontrar formas para atrair mais jogadores, pois sabemos que hoje o game existe graças a fidelidade dos jogadores antigos.
Admiro demais o esforço da equipe em tentar criar novo layout nos modos de batalha, novas regras de batalha e também novas cartas, mas em algumas situações como essa última atualização, será que vai dar certo?

Uma das mudanças que é evidente perceber seu impacto é o Wild Pass, essa taxa deve ser pago para que agora o jogador que desejar escolher o modo de batalha Wild, terá que pagar uma taxa referente a 2,000 DEC. Vendo por esse ponto será que isso poderá afetar os novos jogadores? Será mesmo que a equipe SPL tentou pensar nisso?
Geralmente quando se é um jogador novato, demora muito mais para ele obter seu ROI, será se alguém estar preocupado com isso? Hoje é ainda mais difícil agora em se preocupar em pagar 4,000 DEC por mês em um modo de batalha sendo que antes eu não pagaria nada para jogar.
Pensando em um jogador novato que tem um investimento inicial, pode até parecer um valor baixo já que além da opção de pagarmos com DEC, também podemos pagar com nossos Voucher que recebemos diariamente por causa do nosso stake de SPS. Mudança de Estratégia
Mas pensando naquele jogador experiente ou que está começando, mas por alguma razão possui bots, se um desses jogadores possuir 10 bots, esses valores começam a se tornar insustentáveis não é mesmo? A ideia do Wild Pass de fazer alguns jogadores migrarem para o modo de batalha Modern pode dar certo, até porque eu sou um desses jogadores que deixou momentaneamente jogar o Wild.
Como eu não tenho bots e também minhas economias não me permitem me aventurar no modo Wild, eu optarei em jogar o modo Modern. Tive que desativar 56 delegações de cartas Wild que eu sustentava. Algumas de níveis baixos eu ainda possuo em meu deck, mas apenas voltarei a delegar algumas caso eu entre no Brawl e também participe de eventos.
Não queria fazer essa mudança forçada, mas eu tento ver algo positivo nisso tudo. Percebi que apesar de que estou no Bronze I, meus ganhos de SPS são bem superiores se comparados em níveis mais altos no Wild. O ruim disso é que não recebo muito Glints, mas acho que com o passar do tempo tentarei aumentar meu stake e delegação de SPS para melhorar isso.
Concluindo
Não sei sinceramente como será essas primeiras semanas, alguns jogadores veteranos já deixaram de forma clara suas decisões de parar de jogar e isso poderá ser refletida também no mercado interno já que pouca procura de cartas Wild, seus preços poderão cair consideravelmente.
Por enquanto permanecerei onde estou, por mais que as coisas estão mudando de forma “drástica” com essa taxa para jogar, acredito que com o passar do tempo, Splinterlands possa dar alguns sinais de que seu rumo está melhorando. Que mais novos jogadores possam vir, pois é disso que estamos precisando.
