For this week's share your battle Dragons, I used two cards from the Dragon Splinter - Epic Djinn Chwala and Legendary Byzantine Kitty.
Djinn Chwala
Sometimes I wish I could play the dragon splinter more often because I just love Djinn Chwala with the Thorn ability.
Byzantine Kitty
The Legendary summoner Byzantine Kitty with +2 speed, Aim True and Tank Heal is an awesome summoner. You are not able to miss when using this summoner no matter what abilities your opponent uses or their speed. This gives you an advantage. That and that your tank will be healed at the beginning of each round.
Match Rule Set
Mana Cap: 58
Rule Set: Unprotected and Broken Arrows
Splinter: Life, Death or Dragon available - selected Dragon
Strategy
I choose to use the combination of Byzantine Kitty and Djinn Chwala. At Level 2, Djinn Chwala gets an additional melee for a total of 3 while Kitty will add +2 speed it really helps my opponents miss hitting it so less damage per round. That in combination of the tank heal at the beginning of each round helps make my tank last many rounds against my opponents.
With the Kitty Aim True ability plus 3 melee and the Thorns ability just that card alone will cause 5 damage or more to my opponent per round when they use melee cards.
I also used a sneak card to kill off my opponents back line and a card with amplify so that the thorns ability of my tank would cause even more damage. Adding some magic and demoralize ability helps reduce the effectiveness of my opponents cards.
By the beginning of the 2nd round, two of my opponents cards had already been killed off and the other two only had 2 health each remaining. They were quickly killed off during this round.

Results
My strategy worked wonderfully which I will continue to use. However since the changes to the rewards were put in place, I was penalized 17% for using a level 1 common card in my lineup. I guess this was all my fault as I was adding a card with a high health to use as a buffer between my tank and other cards and did not pay much attention to the level of the card I had added.
This was very eye opening so I looked back over my prior battles to see how many more of my lineups included cards that were not meeting the Full Earning Requirements for Silver of 3 Common, 2 Rare, 2 Epic, 1 Legendary.
Looking back over my prior battles, I noticed that I only had 1 battle that did not include a penalty that impacted my earnings. Being that I am in Silver and usually make it up to Gold by end of season. My penalties will even be greater as I move up to Gold later in the season. I will need to try to use less of these cards or level up more cards so that I am not penalized as much.
