Some thought it was from the plague brought about by Doctor Blight. Others thought perhaps it was from the poisonous gases that seeped from the fissures near the volcano. Whatever it was, those who survived the sickness were changed. They mutated, grew stronger, and were filled with an uncontrollable rage. Some were unable to control that rage and went on murderous rampages. Others fought to maintain their sanity long enough to protect their family, friends, and neighbors from themselves. I don't have this card but it's free to use so I was able to use it during my battle.

Thoughts about radiated brute
I usually use it when the mana cap is high since it costs 5 mana which can be quite expensive to use when added with other cards from fire splinter (like tenyii striker and djinn apprentice). This time was quite an exception though, didn't even use one of my favourite cards, serpentine spy.
Battle
The battle mana cap was 22 with the Standard ruleset.
We both chose different splinters and the opponent had 5 cards while I had 4.
Round 1
My radiated brute was hit back by the thorn ability of cursed windeku which caused it to -2 health. I'm glad the radiated scorcher protected my tenyii striker though since my opponent had 2 sneak cards. If my living lava missed the attack, I might have lost. 4 attack you know!!
Round 2
Goodness, my radiated brute missed the attack since the opponent's silent sha-vi had 3 speed while my card only had 1 speed.
Round 3
Whew, lucky my radiated brute didn't miss the attack this round and since my living lava missed the attack, it could have been fatal for the cards at the back if it died since they have low health. Never question the miss ratio though, you never know if all my cards could actually miss the attack since they all have a lower speed.
Round 4
Great! I managed to KO the opponent with 2 cards left. Would really say living lava was the tank here but radiated brute was also silently supporting the attack to increase the chance of killing cursed windeku. Of course, not forgetting the other cards but hey it's not their weekly challenge so 🤷♀️
My strategy definitely worked as the 4 melee attack from living lava and reach ability from radiated brute helped to remove the cursed windeku. That thorn ability was such a pain.
Do I like the Radiated Brute?
Well, fire splinter is actually one of my weakness nowadays if it comes out for daily quest. I would use it if the mana cap was high and my opponent don't use magic or a lot of shield. Would usually decide between the 2 reach ability cards in fire. Here's a comparison between the 2 cards. I chose radiated brute for this battle because of the higher health and melee attack it has. Was trying to damage more health of cursed windeku since it has the thorn ability. What, how did I know the opponent was going to use it? No I didn't, I just guessed based on the battle history 😂
When I play fire, I would try to use opportunity(serpentine spy) instead of reach so this time I didn't because I need card with more health.
