My Strategy: Since it was a low mana battle, I intended to use Astral entity to try to revive either Ever-Hungry Skull on 1st spot or Cursed Slimeball on last (attacked by stealth), the first one because of high armor and thorns (unfortunatly couldn't find an amplify to support with odds out), while also baiting opportunity monsters with its 1 hp (its bad against shatter and poison btw), and the last option to trigger redemption twice so it could take others low hp cards that way...
I also choosed Uraeus, trying to poison their back line, or maybe even another Ever-Hungry Skull later if was the case... And a complementary Carrion Shade, trying to evade some stealths in the after battle if so...
I started with some luck since Astral Entity took Lux shield out.
1st Round: Serpentine Spy was the fastest and targeted Ever-Hungry Skull at first, doing 4 damage on its armor, but taking 3 back damage on it, luckly not casting poison. Lefting Spy it with 1 hp
After this the expectation started to work when Uraeus took Cursed Slimeball out, trigerring redemption and killing Serpentine Spy. Slimeball was also resurrected.
Horny Toad attacked Hungry Skull too, lefting it with still 4 armor, but also taking 3 damage back and staying at 1 hp. Again here I had luck because poison didn't cast...
Still on 1st round Radiated Scorcher missed its shot against Skull, but that in exchange didn't have mercy and took him out on its turn... And to complement my own Ureaus missed its stealth try.
The 2nd round started with Cursed Slimeball getting hitted again by Uraeus, triggering redemption a second time and killing Horny Toad. Nice!
My own Ureaus this time was able to hit his Uraeus and taking it out.
To finish it, Ever-Hungry Skull gave the last hit on Flame Monkey and was the MVP at this fight!
My conclusion is that thorns and redemption was a good combo on Up Close & Personal low mana, but still it could have gone wrong if poison got casted. Still I can't think at many options I could have taken instead in this case...
Overall was nice to win Louis88, that is a player I often see at top 5... So wasn't expected to be an easy fight anyway... Better luck time lol š
