In this battle, dodge was not an option. It was the ultimate Water splinter magic team verse the ultimate Earth magic splinter team. Both teams had Summoners to enhance the magic power. The earth splinter team had one melee monster, Unicorn Mustang, with magic-reducing void ability. Plus they had a magic reflecting failed summoner in position one. They did everything they could do overcome the powerful Water splinter, but was it enough....
Alric Stormbringer says.... maybe!?
Here is the lineup:
The screengrab above is right before the +1 was added to everyone's magic attack. Both tanks have void, Oceanus for water and Unicorn for Earth. Water has shield thanks to the wavesmith in position three, but this will be pretty useless after taking one hit from the unicorn, as all other damage is magical.
The big, glaring wild card that I see here is the healing ability of both teams. My water team has triage, thanks to the legendary spirit hoarder (or magical groot as I call him), but with no snipe, opportunity, or sneak attack on the earth team his heal will be pretty useless. The Earth healer on the other hand will be a thorn in my side all game. But will he eventually cost me the match...lets see what happens at the beginning of round 2.
With Alric's powerful water magic attack team, they momentum seems to be in their favor after round 1. The mycelic slipspawn and the failed summoner have fallen. I have a pretty good looking back line, but Oceanus look vulnerable with no healing. As long as I can get rid of their Unicorn before their healing Goblin Psychic gives him a health boost.
Ouch! I got the Unicorn down to 1 health but then the Goblin Psychic healed him, took out oceanus and then my Mage of Chaos in short order. The tide has turned and momentum is now fully with the Earth mage team. How did this happen!
I will leave you with this final screengrab of the beginning of round 4. That pesky goblin is still their to heal. Two of the three monsters left for water only have 1 health. Will Nerissa come through? Or will she be overwhelmed. You will have to watch the video below to find out!
