In this week's battle challenge we have Spirit Hoarder from the neutral faction. Spirit Hoarder can be used in all factions when the rulesets allow it. Which probably 98% of the time. Spirit Hoarder is a low mana, low health, and low spell damage monster with a triage starting ability.
This monster can be used many different rulesets. But be sure to protect him from opportunity monsters. Let's take a look at his stats and abilities.
Spirit Hoarder Stats:
This monsters starts with triage at level 1. At level 2 he receives dispel. And the last ability this monster receives is blind at level 3. All this monsters stats stay the same until level 4. That's when his spell damage is increased by 1. All these abilities are very helpful.
Let's take a look at how I used Spirit Hoarder in this matchup.

In this modern league matchup the rulesets were wands only and silenced summoners. Wands out means only spell damage monsters can be used. And Silenced summoners means summoners do not pass on their abilities or stats to the monsters in battle. With the wands out ruleset ability it limited the amount of monster to choose from. Sometimes this makes choosing a lineup difficult. And sometimes this makes choosing a lineup extremely easy. In my case this made choosing my lineup easy. As you can see I chose Earth splinter. Even though earth splinter is relatively slow. It gives me a chance to mitigate damage from the first position monster to a taunt monster in last position in my lineup. It also allow me to be able to use the Spirit Hoarder triage ability effectively. Let's take a look at my positioning of monsters. And why I chose to put them in these positions.
In the first position I chose Regal Peryton. I put the Regal Peryton here for his health, speed, and magic damage stats. I knew he would be able to take a couple of spell damage shots. I would most likely be able to heal him before the end of the first round.
Second position I chose Djinn Biljka. I chose this monster for his spell damage. And to act as a buffer for the Goblin Psychic in case my Regal Peryton went down to fast.
The third position I chose Goblin Psychic.
Chose Goblin Psychic for the healing ability, affliction ability, and silence ability. As well as his spell damage and health stats. I feel puting in the middle gives him some protection from being attack on either end.
The fourth position I chose Spirit Hoarder. Chose Spirit Hoarder for the triage ability. I knew with the opponent attacking Mycelic Slipspawn he would require some healing as well. I put him in this position to act as a buffer for the Goblin Psychic.
And in the fifth position I chose Mycelic Slipspawn. I chose Mycelic Slipspawn for his taunt ability and high health. And putting him in this position would help mitigate the damage Regal Peryton would take in the first position.
My thoughts on Spirit Hoarder:
This card is awesome in many different rulesets and mana battles. I use this card quite often and it helps me win battles. I would definitely say you should buy this card you will not be disappointed. And if u can't buy this card. You make it a staple to rent this card. Thank for checking out my Weekly Battle Challenge. And enjoy playing Splinterlands.
