Hi everybody and Greetings from France,
I am a new player of Splinterlands. I began to play 10 days ago indeed. Like many other players, I have some various favorite cards. Already. I currently have feelings only regarding how great they are but that's a good beginning.
Let's go now to the subject of this post. Looking at the game cards, I was intrigued by eight of them beginning by the same name. They do not represent strong warriors, terrific creatures or legendary deities. No. They are characters with kind of rat face. Each of them is shown doing a particular task in relation with the element he is associated to : they belong to the VENARI race.
From bonesmith to wavesmith, lot of professions are depicted with various abilities for useful in-game support. But what about the name VENARI ? The french language includes an almost similar word which is "véneri". It designates the type of hunt where the (unfortunate) wild animal is hunted with the help of a dogs pack. This "véneri" word results from the latin infinitive verb "venari" which means also "to hunt". So that's it. The VENARI race is a race of hunters waiting for the appropriate moment to hit and protected as well as possible by stronger brothers in arms. Lot of their representatives die before the end of battles but thanks to their skills, they contribute to our victories.
Based on my very limited experience, two of them are probably used more often than the others :
. the VENARI wavesmith as he provides two additional armor points to every team member,
. the VENARI knifer because of his high speed and his thorns ability. For low-level players, this probably constitutes an interesting choice for low-mana battles where the "strike first to win rapidly" strategy is essential.
Have a nice day with awesome battles or a peaceful night with nice dreams
