Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! Costly mistakes part 1.

Hello everyone. In this post I will discuss my return to @splinterlands. I while back I thought about leaving the game. The reason for this was simple. I sold most of my cards and wasted that money gambling at hive slot games. I convinced myself that I would win and buyback more/better cards. But I kept loosing till all my assets were wasted. So it is time to change my approach. I decided to return back to Splinterlands and use this as an opportunity to strengthen my decks by buying mostly higher level cards than the one I had in the past. I invested some money from real world and I am also unstaking some of my HBD to achieve this goal. So far I only bought cards for my earth deck. I still plan to buy a few more decks and a few neutral cards as well. This will take time and this lesson will be costly but plan to make the most out of it. I guess I am just not good enough at blackjack so I should focus in other areas instead. But enough about that. Let's look at what I bought so far:

Immortalis level 4. I love this summoner because it gives my team Void ability. Shatter is also useful in case my opponent would have armor.

Obsidian level 7. I like magic teams and this summoner adds +1 to my magic attacks. Very useful for battles with low level monsters.

image.png

Nectar Queen level 10. Great health and melee attack power. Has Retaliate and Poison abilities. That means that this monster is a good tank.

Kron the Undying level 3. In the past I had level 2 so this an big improvement because now it will have Last Stand.

image.png

Oaken Behemoth level 2. I like this monster because it attacks with both magic and melee. I had level 1 of this monster before. Now it will have knock out ability so will do better against stunned enemies.

Queen Mycelia level 4. This monster gives my team more armor, increases Retaliate, Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect , Thorns and return fire. It also heals the last unit in my team and takes takes away enemy armor.

image.png

Terraceous Hulk level 1. This monster I did not have before but I like that it has Taunt ability.

image.png

Brownie level 1. This monster increases speed of my team. I would like to have bought this monster at higher level but at that point I ran out of funds.

image.png

Hunter Jarx level 6. This monster has huge ranged attack and always hits his targets.

image.png

Mushroom Seer level 6. A strong mage who silences enemies(works great with Void from my main summoner). It also has Poison.

image.png

Mycelic Slipspawn level 8. Another monster with Taunt ability also takes less damage from the strongest units.

image.png

Regal Peryton level 8. A strong mage with very good health.

image.png

Uloth Dhampir level 8. Has great ranged attack power, can stun my enemies and heal my last unit.

image.png

Goblin Psychic level 10. This monster heals my tank, removes healing from my enemies, silences enemy mages and at this level also gets dispel ability.

That is all I bought so far but I still have plans for a few more decks. I would love to have some other earth cards like Scarred Llama Mage or Spirit of the Forest but I can't justify spending that much on a single card. Lord Thanalor would be interesting as well but that is not a priority at the moment. See you in next part after I will purchase something more. For now I need to decide which deck to buy next.

Welcome back, join a guild for sps for brawls

Thank you. I am already in a guild.

It's good that you decided to come back, the truth is that betting is not very good. I'm just coming back with zero cards and learning the dynamics of Splinterlands, but well, you'll see what you'll see on the way... Good card references, I will keep this post in mind.

thank you.
