Hello there my Splinterlands Fam.
How are you today.? I hope you all are doing great.
With retiring the Share Your Battle weekly challenge, the Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge is live. I must say, the new challenge is much more competitive and challenging because it's not about a card but about a specific ruleset. And you have to fight more battles to pick one to share. Because not every time you will get the desired ruleset. Then again, it's not sure that you'll win that battle.
It's tough but it's fun writing though. I surely will miss the old Share Your Battle challenge.
This is the 10th week of this challenge and this week's Battle Mage Secrets challenge is about the Equal Opportunity ruleset.
Just like the previous challenges in this blog, I'll discuss about the Equal Opportunity ruleset and share the best battle playing in this ruleset.
So, read on...
A Few Words About The Equal Opportunity Ruleset
In the 'equal opportunity' ruleset, all Monsters have the 'opportunity' ability.
Making your team faster is the way to victory in this ruleset. This is because, if your team faster than enemy, they will make attack to the weakest monster/s of the enemy team and eliminate them before they can make an attack. This will put you on the winning side.
Using monsters/summoner having the 'blast' ability is also a good idea in this ruleset. Because, they will deal extra damage with blast to the adjacent monsters of the enemy team.
Double attack type monsters is always preferrable because they will deal double damage to the weakest monster/s to eliminate them first.
My preferred team in this ruleset is to use a summoner with speed buff, and use high speed and high HP monsters so that they can deal the attack first.
THE BATTLE
Now I'm sharing my strategy and the lineup for the best battle I won while the Equal Opportunity ruleset is active.
RULESETS
Mana Cap: 38
Rulesets:-
Equal Opportunity: All Monsters have the Opportunity ability.
Lost Legendaries: Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.
Active Splinters: Fire, Death.
My Strategy and Team Setup
SUMMONER
Malric Inferno
With this mana cap, the Malric Inferno should serve the purpose of the summoner as I intended to use a melee attack-based team.
Team Setup
As there only two splinters were active, it was predictable that the enemy will also use a melee attack-based team. I arranged my team accordingly.
Cerberus is the most effective low mana-cost tank, that I use frequently. The only thing lacking in him is some armor. Next, there's Venari Marksrat in the second position. Putting a 'martyr' monster in between two important monsters is the best strategy in the 'equal opportunity' ruleset. Because when the 'martyr' monster dies, the adjacent monsters will increase in stats.
Ferox Defender in the third position provides extra +2 armor to the friendly team, which is another best strategy when playing a melee attack-based battle.
I used two 'sneak' monsters Tenyii Striker in the fourth position and Sand Worm in the fifth position.
Last, there's the Supply Runner to make the whole team faster, which is very crucial in the 'equal opportunity' ruleset, a faster team.
Now, that my team is ready, let's charge into the battle.

Analysis Of The Key Factors Of The Battle
Venari Marksrat did an amazing job in this battle. He may not be a good attacker but his 'martyr' ability did an excellent job here.
My enemy used two magic monsters, which was an unpredictable move, but luckily no enemy monsters had any armor except the Goblin Mech. That gave me an advantage.
Ferox Defender did a good job by providing +2 armor which was a great help.
The Supply Runner fulfilled his job until he got destroyed in the second round. The two 'sneak' attackers destroyed the enemy team from behind.
Because of this good strategy, my team brings home winning.
And that's all for today, guys.
