Hello there my Splinterlands Fam.
How are you today.? I hope you all are doing great.
With retiring the Share Your Battle weekly challenge, the Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge is live. I must say, the new challenge is much more competitive and challenging because it's not about a card but about a specific ruleset. And you have to fight more battles to pick one to share. Because not every time you will get the desired ruleset. Then again, it's not sure that you'll win that battle.
It's tough but it's fun writing though. I surely will miss the old Share Your Battle challenge.
This is the 12th week of this challenge and this week's Battle Mage Secrets challenge is about the Going With Distance ruleset.
Just like the previous challenges, in this blog, I'll discuss about the Going With Distance ruleset and share the best battle playing in this ruleset.
So, read on...
A Few Words About The Going With Distance Ruleset
The 'Going With Distance' is a new ruleset added to the Splinterlands game recently. In this ruleset, only monsters with ranged attacks may be used in the battle.
So, basically, you're bound to use only the ranged attack monsters and I'm sure you'll find difficulties choosing the right summoner and monsters in this ruleset.
The 'close range' monsters can attack from the first position though they are the ranged monsters. Thus we should place a 'close range' monster in the tank position and place the rest of the team accordingly.
A good trick here is to use a 'tank heal' monster as it may heal the tank so that it can survive for more time.
Choosing a perfect summoner (and suitable monsters) is always a winning factor. But in this ruleset, it becomes crucial that you should choose your summoner very carefully.
My preferred monster in this ruleset is Ilthain as it has the 'return fire' ability.
Now, that we learned the strategies to apply effectively in the 'Going The Distance' ruleset, it's time to apply those strategies in real time.
To the battle...
