With the imminent arrival of the RiftWatchers incoming, the world of Splinterlands awaits a new challenge. Bringing with it, a higher mana cost than ever before, the Rift Watchers expansion pose the greatest threat on the battlefield like never seen before.
How best can you prepare for RiftWatchers? Learn them? Study them? or...

Giant Killer is built for this very reason. Any monster of the mana cost 10 or more will receive double damage. So, which Splinterlands monsters are on this list and who should you be stocking up multiple BCX copies of for the ultimate advantage in those 99 mana battles?

7. Desert Dragon

A strong and reliable option. However, this is the most costly member of the list as Giant Killers is achieved at level 4. Probably avoid but overall cost is not too bad.

One of my favourite cards and in a reasonable price bracket given its overall quality. Bloodlust is too good. Will scale so nicely with Giant Killer. Worth the cost despite being second most expensive.
5. Djinn Muirat

With 3 copies being required for level 2, the Djinn Muirat requires around $25 of investment but a solid magic damage will pierce most armours. A good price for the potential on offer. Getting this card to level 3 is worth it for the magical reflect and void armour, nasty combo.
4. Mycelic Infantry

A surprisingly expensive option providing 40 BCX. It would be worth checking out sales for this card and trying to get the price down a little. But at 5th level Giant Killer is a good addition to an absolute tank for the Earth team. Good base damage and perhaps a little too expensive at around $20 ?
3. Legionnaire Alvar

At the time of writing there were no Level 2 cards available. The readily availble level 2 cards we $90+ and $5,000. So for the purpose of this blog I have ignored these for a more reasonable price of 3 single BCX copies. Worth taking this card to level 3 if you can for the Disintegrate ability. Void armour is great on the Legionnaire but high mana cost. Is this the best option? Neutral disposition does enable it to be more flexible. Not my first choice but could be worth while.
2. Chaos Knight

This is an absolute must buy for the price and the overall qualities. A single BCX costs in the range of 0.05$ taking the total investment to $15.33 . Well worth the stats given at 5th level Giant killer will be doing 6 damage to RiftWatchers.
