A great win in EARTHQUAKE ruleset.

All this time I've been highlighting specific monsters in specific battles and now its time I highlight a specific battle ruleset where I got a great win. It's about the earthquake ruleset where monsters with flying ability gets the highest possibility to get victory but I got a great win without using any monsters with flying ability when my opponent team lost the battle even after using some monsters with flying ability and having a great strategy.

And this battle is definitely worth talking about.

So, the battle was covered with earthquake ruleset (Non-flying monsters take 2 melee damage at the end of each round). Its wise to choose monsters with additional armor if not using monsters with flying ability as non-flying monsters take melee damage which damages armor first.

The mana cap was 39 and I just chose five monsters from what I rented from the rental market. I had the chance to choose from any splinter and this time I chose water splinter for this battle where I had four water monsters with a neutral monster in my lineup strategy.

The Monsters and Summoners:

For this battle, I chose the legendary water summoner Valnamor that provides one extra magic damage to all magic monsters and I chose only magic monsters for this extra benefit, it also provide one extra speed and one extra health to all friendly monsters.

The front monster, Sea Monster is a good tank having heal ability that allows it to restore a third of max health of thyself each round.

Lobstradamus reduces damage from melee and ranged attacks by 50%, Djinn Oshannus reduced damage from magic attacks by 50% and Spirit Hoarder heals the friendly back-line unit that has taken the most damage by a third of max health and Nerissa Tridawn is there with a good health and magic damage.

The opponent team chose Obsidian as summoner that provides one extra magic attack to all magic attackers of own team and their two major monsters were magic monsters.

Mycelic Infantry reduces damage like Lobstradamus does, Pelacor Mercenary and Regal Peryton has flying ability that's most helpful for the earthquake ruleset and monsters with flying ability has a 25% bonus chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from units who do not have the flying ability.

Fungus Flinger and Venari Markstrat will add +1 to all stats to the adjacent monsters if they die and I see that's the best strategy of the opponent team using these two monsters having martyr ability and kept them beside the monsters with flying ability so they get extras to stats. And all of my monsters except the first one should target the opponent's Mycelic Slipspawn till it dies as the opponent monster has taunt ability.

image.png

Djinn Oshannus of my team took the first turn and Mycelic Slipspawn of the opponent team lost three health for this. Then the opponent team took turn where their Regal Peryton attacked and killed two health of my Sea Monster then after my Nerissa Tridawn killed four health of the opponent's Mycelic Slipspawn, my Sea Monster restored some of its health and then attacked the opponent's Mycelic Infantry where the opponent monster lost two armor evading half.

My Spirit Hoarder and then my Lobstradamus attacked and finished off the opponents Mycelic Slipspawn and now all my monsters will target the first monster on the opponent team. Venari Markstrat then Fungus Flinger and then Mycelic Infantry of the opponent team attacked and damaged total five health of my Sea Monster using three damage.

And now that moment came for what all of us were waiting, I mean it was time for the earthquake to wrath on the battlefield. All my monsters lost two health each to the earthquake when the opponent team lost the two monsters having martyr ability and there both Regal Peryton and Pelacor Mercenary got +1 to all stats for Fungus Flinger being martyred and then Regal Peryton got +1 to all stats again for Venari Markstrat being martyred.

Then Regal Peryton killed my Sea Monster without giving this beast another chance to heal itself up otherwise the battle would take a total different turn. Well then my Djinn Oshannus and then my Nerissa Tridawn damaged the opponents Mycelic Slipspawn with big magic damage and the opponent monster died.

image.png

The earthquake started to show its wrath on my monsters only from now on as all two living monsters of the opponent team has flying ability and the next earthquake killed my Spirit Hoarder as well as damaging health of my other monsters. So now both opponent monsters were damaging my monsters health big time and the earthquake was after my monsters as well.

My monsters first finished off the opponent's Pelacor Mercenary and then I lost another monster from my team to the magic damage of Regal Peryton. Now Regal Peryton had six health portions remaining and I had two monsters with seven magic damage left so I was relieved and got the win soon after that.

Interesting to see that you managed to win a game with earthquake rules without using a single car that has the fly ability. Well done!

Thank you.

This ruleset (earthquake) is very cruel but it's true that you can overcome it with a good strategy which you did already.
Well done on the battlefield. @tipu curate 8
