Splinterlands Mystery Card Challenge #2 ~ Winner: @seeweed

Last week's Mystery Card Challenge may have been way too easy. It got solved in less than seven minutes after I published the post. 😅

The Epic card Lava Launcher was awarded to dtam. It's a high-attack Fire splinter ranged monster that's a staple in big mana fights. The succeeding prize cards may not be as glamorous, but I hope winners will still find a place for them in their decks.

I contemplated whether I'd make the puzzle difficult but chose otherwise for my first attempt. It's not that I'm underestimating the wits of my fellow players. I was just doubtful that people would read my posts. 🤣 So I assumed no one would find the challenge ... at least not that soon. I thought it would take several days to get comments from readers.

This week's challenge is still relatively easy but not as straightforward as the first one. I'd be blabbering about random Splinterland stuff next. So you could go ahead and jump to the The Mystery Card Giveaway Challenge section if you want to try solving the hidden message right away.

Good luck!

The Legacy of Gold Obsidian

When I found out that the Gold Obsidian I randomly got from a rewards pack was selling for as high as $33, I was immediately tempted to trade it. Obsidian is a great summoner, but I don't exactly need the Gold version for battles, right?

Gold Obsidian's sacrifice would be forever remembered as it paved the way for these other awesome cards.

ChaosDragonUnite.jpg

Chaos Dragon. I had to buy three cards to combine them into level 2. The legendary monster's Scattershot and Blast combo is nasty --- an unavoidable five or seven-point magic damage (unless there's Void). You can check out my battle challenge post to see it in action.

OshannusUnite.jpg

Djinn Oshannus. I already had two of these from chest rewards. 😋 So, I only needed one more to upgrade it to level 2. The legendary Water Djinn is extremely fast at a five-speed stat, so the unlocked Phase skill becomes more effective.

ChwalaUnite.jpg

Djinn Chwala. I rarely use this Dragon monster since there's not a lot of room for regular melee fighters in a team. But I only needed one more card to raise it to level 3, so I decided to no longer rely on rewards pull and just buy the last one. Besides, it was very cheap, so it wasn't a painful purchase.

Here's the tally of my total purchases. I really gained a lot more by letting go of one card. I bought several Venari Crystalsmith too to raise it to level 4 and get its two-point attack.

CardCountPrice per CardTotal
Chaos Dragon3$9.50$28.50
Djinn Oshannus1$2.85$2.85
Djinn Chwala1$0.35$0.35
Venari Crystalsmith8$0.09$0.72
Total$32.42

I bought these cards cheaper than the usual market rates because I used Peakmonster's Bid Feature. If you are not in a hurry to get your cards, you can try placing bids. It only took me around a day of waiting to complete the transaction. To know the step-by-step process, you can read libertycrypto27's post on how to make a bid. 👍

Preparing for Season-End

The season is ending in less than 24 hours. I've already arranged my last day rentals and boosted my Power for Diamond III league. It was tough to get my Rating high enough, though. I barely made it, so even if I still got some high Collection Power, I'll be forgoing battles for now. I worry that I'd fall below the Diamond Rating and waste all my rental expenses. 😣

Why do players make an effort to raise their league rank? It's all about the rewards, of course. 😁
If I reach Diamond III, there's a one out of 57 chests that I'll nab one Chaos Legion booster pack. It's not guaranteed, but it's still a high likelihood.

If I get plenty more decent loot, I'll make more of these challenges in the future. And on that note ... let the mystery card challenge begin.

My Answer is "Djinn Renova"

I think I figured out your trick but it somehow spelled "venari" hence I was stuck for a long time because if that's the case it should be "venari _____"

I don't have much RC to spend so I hope I'm right @seeweed

Venari cards transferred! See you again in the next challange. Thanks!

Congrats @seeweed, nice one, can wait for the next challenge, i will try again 👍

Thanks for joining! Since it's almost a full week since the last one, I'll probably make another challenge within tomorrow :D

Posted it a lot earlier than I initially intended. Check out the next challenge here.

Awesome! You got it right. Thanks for participating despite having low RC.

I'll consider Venari as your primary answer since you figured it out anyway. The "venari _____" was intentional because the prize were three Venari cards. Three just like what's in the clue.

I'll send the cards to seeweed game account within the hour.

Hello! Gonna try it too!

Would it be the "Serpentine Spy"?

Ty for the post!

@loboguara

Would it be the "Serpentine Spy"?

Thanks a lot for participating :D But it's not the answer. Sorry.

The mystery word is three.

The mystery word is three.

Thanks for participating. But, sorry, that's not the answer.

Nice way to let persons read our post instead of just upvote or not 👍.

Lets give it try mystery word:
"two-point" is related to the Serpentine Soldier attack points

Thanks for the feedback! The important part is the challenge, but I prefer to write longer posts so I fill it up with my week's Splinterlands experience.😅

I love answering challenges or mystery words like these, so I decided to make one of my own.

However, both "two-point" and "five-speed" are not the answers I'm looking for. Feel free to try answering again when you find something else, by replying to this comment.

or second entry:
five-speed related to one of the cards

3rd guess: "ZERO"
basing on the number of cards per rarity you have 3 common cards, 2 rare cards and 1 epic card.
therefore, I'm guessing that the next would be zero (probably a legendary chaos legion card) 😍

A Legendary Chaos card would be def enticing. But I can't giveaway what I don't have haha. Perhaps if I get more cards, we can eventually get to legendaries. But this challenge prize is not Legendary level XD

All four tries are not the correct answer though. The puzzle is more like a cryptogram as each card represents a letter, similar to the first challenge.

Thanks for trying. Appreciate it!

4th guess: "MAGIC" or "MAGIC ATTACKER"
You showed melee and ranged so I'm guessing the missing is a magic attacker. 🙂

Second guess Fire as there are 3 fire lol

3rd guess is it level or level 3 as all of them are level 3

Another ques: Regal Peryton

Sorry, it's still not the answer XD

for my second guess i am going to say, turtle.
IGN @nwb0719

Sorry, turtle is not the answer, but I'm sensing your thought process may be on the right track. But turtle is far from the correct answer. Thanks for trying the challenge!

Here it comes another quess: Living Lava

Sorry, still not the answer.
I'll probably leave more obvious hints if it remains unsolved after a week.
Thanks for guessing!

Thanks for sharing! - @marianaemilia

Great content!

Thanks, marianaemilia and the whole Splinterlands curation team! 🤗

First guess.. sneak as there are 3 with sneak abilities. (No clue if I am even doing this right..)
@uglykillerpigz

So sorry, those were incorrect answers XD

The puzzle is like a cryptogram as each card represents a letter. You can check the first challenge for reference. Last week was a lot easier and sort of similar to this week's puzzle.

2nd try: "LEGENDARY"
you already have common, rare and epic, the only missing rarity is legendary. 😁

Let me try.

The hidden word is "PHYSICAL" as all of the monsters are physical attackers. 🙂
