Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. Rebellion has also changed the battles and I keep losing my fights recently. I forgot to submit my matches last brawl so I remembered to do so this time.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern brawl and got 6 wins. There were 3 guilds that did not assign a participant in my brawl so there were 3 free wins. My rewards for the brawl were 3,444 merits and 32.19 SPS in the 3-star category. My guild ranked 5th place out of the 10 guilds there. I wasn't expecting the reward to be messed up so I pulled up the guild chat to see the merits. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. The rewards are higher this time around and it looks like we got more points this week. So it follows along what I thought about the points leading to the SPS/merit rewards.

Brawl fights

There were 2 that I won, 1 won due to surrender and 2 that I lost. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match. The summoner increased the range damage and those ranged monsters dealt so much damage against me.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match and my damage was too spread out. The reduced damage and the heal just worked against me.

You can find the third match here. I won this match. Having a heal tank and combining martyr with my bloodlust monster worked well for me to kill my enemy before he killed me.

You can find the fourth match here. I won this match and my summoner worked well. The armor from the ruleset was canceled out and my monsters were able to land enough attacks to win the match. My opponent just didn't have enough damage and I was able to land most of my attacks.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match due to the bloodlust magic monster. It just lasted long enough and when the summoner's void armor was combined with the bloodlust.

Conclusion

I think doing 6 fights for 3,444 merits and 32.19 SPS is a good reward for the effort. It was a pretty decent brawl and there was a surprising amount of guilds that did not submit a person in the brawl fray. As I thought like last time, the points that our guild gets determine the SPS and merits that I earn. My guild got more points so the rewards were better this time around.
