Splinterlands Engagement Challenge: The New Ambassador Program

in #hive-13323yesterday

Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge that can be found in this week's post. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because they get to learn about the game. In this week's challenge, we talk about how the new ambassador program is replacing the old referral system.

The New Ambassador Program

You can find the information above at the ambassador program link. This will be essentially the new referral system for all players in Splinterlands. By having others join the game using your referral link, you will get some additional benefits as your referral plays the game or buys a spell book.

Tiers and Information

There are two tiers. The first tier is Silver which anyone will be under so long as they refer someone to the game. In this case, you receive some credits when they buy a spellbook and you also earn 5% of your friend's glint reward each season.

For the second tier, you need 10 referrals who have used $100 in any type of splinterlands market. You get all the rewards from Silver and you also earn 5% of all pack purchases as well as 1% of what your friend does on the peer-to-peer markets. This bonus will be paid in DEC and the packs only apply to the most recent set available in the game shop. You must also have a spellbook to get the DEC from this program.

To get maximum rewards in Silver, you just need people to use your link. For Gold, you also need a Spellbook in order to earn the bonus rewards.

How to get your referral link?

In the upper right corner, you can see the settings button. If you press it, you will see the corresponding drop-down menu. The third from the top is the ambassador status.

Here you can see your status. I don't have anyone who used my referral link yet and I am currently in the Silver tier. If you had one, I assume there would be more information about the referrals, but I don't have one right now. Here is my referral link.

Tips for Success

There are a few ways to succeed as an ambassador but it all requires doing some outreach outside of the Splinterlands community. This means spreading information on social media such as Twitter, Reddit, and other sites such as that. Getting the word out there about the game and getting others interested in this game. With the additions to free-to-play accounts, I think anyone can give Splinterlands a try and see if it's right for them.

One thing to note is that you should engage with others. It helps get people interested in the game and it helps build a relationship with others. It makes them more likely to use your link to try out the game. I suggest going to the gaming or crypto-related sections of the social media sites to find people more interested in games.

One last thing to note about the old referrals

If you were wondering what happened to the old referral program, then the progress there is wiped. I had invited one or two people before in the past by inviting a friend interested in games. So everything from this program starts fresh.

Conclusion

This challenge was to look into the new ambassador program. I think it's interesting to see the new program. I think it is responding to the free-to-play changes that they allowed in Splinteerlands. It hurts to see the old system disappear and I still think that it might have been better. However, times have changed and we have to make do with what happens. Make sure to spread that referral code out and get them if you can. At least you can get rewarded even if your referral never buys a spellbook with the Glint changes.

What do you think about the new ambassador program in Splinterlands?

Feel free to leave a comment if you read my post. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer.

It's a good way to get out of the Hive ecosystem to get users.

Yes. I think it's a good way for players to recruit others out there in the other social media sites.

I think this is an incentive to bring people into the game, but even better when you get them to actually spend time money as well. Do the referred accounts get any benefit?

I don't think the referred accounts get any benefits right now.

The second tier is utopia, it's impossible to find 10 new people willing to invest 100$ here... I would not recommend that, too many barriers to ear something

It's a tough barrier to pass, but it's out there if anyone wants to try.
