This weeks Battle Mage Challenge is about the Lost Magic rule.
Splinterlands tells us the following about the Lost Magic rule:
Description:
Magic units may not be used in battle.
Use Thorns and Demoralize to counter melee attacks.
Use Headwinds and Return Fire to counter ranged attacks.
Units with 2 types of attack (which include magic) cannot be used.
Lost Magic is one of the rules I like quite a lot. Magic attackers have never been my niche, and I also like to play with speed and hit chance modifiers, so this rule fits me well.
Here, Armor is awesome, and Shield units are very effective. The rule also isn't that plagued by Weapons Training, which I am also not a big fan of.

Battle progress and Result
This battle looks pretty good for me at the start. I have decent speed on my units and 2x Giant Killer to take down the Coeurl Lurker. There is also the fact that my opponent has five ranged units in his setup, which means that they will all be useless once they hit the frontline position.
Round one begins with the Runic Skyclaws hitting my Swamp Spitter and mine hitting the Coeurl Lurker. My opponent's Stun units do not trigger the stuns, lucky me, and my units are able to bring down the Coeurl Lurker with the help of an 8 damage strike from the Swamp Spitter. Then my two frontline units attack the Uloth Dhampir and almost bring him down too. Finally, the Ancient Redwood deal a good chunk of damage to my Djinn Chwala.
Round 2 my Swamp Spitter barely survives the attack from the Runic Skyclaw, while my Runic Skyclaw hits into the enemy Skyclaw's armor. Both my Swamp Spitter and Kulu Mastermind miss their attacks, and finally the Ancient Redwood kills my Djinn Chwala.
In round 3, my Runic Skyclaw kills the Supply Runner, which removes Swiftness from my opponent's units. My melee units attack the Skyclaw, and with the final hit from Carnage Titan they are able to bring it down. Now ythe game looks very much in my favor:
The game goes into round 5 before my units deal the final blow. Victory!
