Cursed Windeku are nightmarish creatures that live in the deepest and darkest woods. They hunt at night, stalking their prey before attacking with their claws, while their thorn-like horns and natural healing ability provide an excellent defense,. They exude a pungent pheromone that reduces the reaction time of their victims, often allowing the Windeku to begin devouring them before they are dead. While these lifeless creatures may appear animalistic, they are highly intelligent. They have heeded the call put forth by the Lord of Darkness. Their thirst for blood is now focused on the Chaos Legion.

MY LINEUP
MY LINEUP
Taking into account the ruleset and monster options that I had. I chose to use death splinter. I used a combination of melee, magic, ranged attacks and no attack monster in my lineup. I chose Thaddius since he was the only one high-level death summoner that I had. He had great debuff which reduced 1 health of the opponent's monsters. |
Thaddius Brood lv5 has 3 melee attacks, 3 speeds, and 10 health. Besides his great stats, he also has Thorns and Heal abililties. I put him in the first position since he is the best tank for 6 mana cost.
Shadow Snitch lv 1 has 1 melee attack, 2 speeds, and 1 health. I put him in the second position as the 2nd tank or to protect the monster in the 3rd and 4th positions.
Life Sapper lv 5 has 2 magic attacks, 3 speeds, and 3 health. He has life leech ability which could increase his health if managed to give damage to the opponent's monsters. He is one of my favorite monster in the death splinter from Chaos Legion edition. He will focus on attacking the opponent's monsters in the first position.
Soul Strangler lv5 has 3 ranged attacks, 3 speeds and 3 health. He has great stats for low mana cost battle. Same as Life Sapper, He will focus on attacking the opponent's monster in the first position.
Carrion Shade lv 1 has 1 Melee attack, 3 speeds, and 2 health. He has Flying ability which could evading attack from the non-flying Monsters. I put him in the last position to protect Soul Strangler from sneak attack by the opponent's monsters. |
ROUND 1
- The opponent used the Dragon splinter.
- The opponent's lineups are Thaddius Brood lv6 (Summoner), Cursed Slimeball lv6 (1st position), Halfling Alchemist lv4 (2nd position), Boogeyman lv5 (3rd position), Undead Priest lv6 (4th position), Undead Badger lv1 in the last position.
- Round 1 started with buff and debuff process by both team as follows :
- Undead Badger attacked first and managed to kill Carrion Shade in the last position.
- Undead Priest, Boogeyman, and Halfling Alchemist took turns attacking Cursed WIndeku. Halfling Alchemist managed to apply Halving debuff to Cursed Windeku and reduced his Melee attack become half.
- Cursed Slimeball attacked Cursed Windeku but got damage back and was killed by the Cursed Windeku's Thorns ability.
- When Cursed Slimeball died, it trigger the Redemption effect and all my monsters got 1 damage.
- Corpse Fiend was killed by the Redemption effect.
- Life Sapper managed to kill Halfling Alchemist.
- When Halfling Alchemist died, it trigger the Redemption effect and all my monsters got 1 damage.
- Soul Strangler was killed by the 2nd Redemption effect.
- Cursed Windeku did healing and gain 3 health. He attacked Boogeyman with 1 Melee attack.
Comment :
- I didn't realize and expect Cursed Slimeball and Halfling Alchemist to have the Redemption ability.
- I thought the opponent did a mistake with put Halfling Alchemist in the second position while magic attack monsters were in the 3rd and 4th positions but actually, he did it to trigger the Redemption effect in the early round.
- Looks like I can only depend on the Cursed Windeku in the next round.
ROUND 2
- Undead Badger managed to kill Life Sapper in the last position.
- Undead Priest and Boogeyman took turns attacking Cursed Windeku with 3 damages in total.
- Cursed Windeku did healing and gain 3 health. He attacked Boogeyman with 1 Melee attack.
ROUND 3
- Undead Badger attacked Cursed Windeku but got damage back and killed by the Cursed Windeku's Thorns ability.
- After being attacked by Undead Badger, Cursed Windeku' still had 4 health.
- I definitely win this battle because Cursed Windeku could do healing and gain 3 health while the opposing monsters only had Undead Priest and Boogeyman and could apply 3 damages.
- Next rounds will be a slowly killing process as Cursed Windeku only had 1 Melee attack.
ROUND 10
- Finally, Cursed Windeku managed to kill Undead Badger and ended the battle.

DID MY STRATEGY WORK?
My strategy is just good. Choosing Cursed Windeku as the tank was the right decision.
Monsters from old editions are really unpredictable with their abilities. This is a big challenge for the Chaos Legion edition user.
CONCLUSION
- Cursed Windeku is a great tank with these stats and abilities. The most important is that his cost is only 6 mana and we could him in the low mana batte except little league ruleset.
