Hello Splinterlands Summoners and welcome to another edition of Community Engagement Challenge. Today, we'll be discussing about creating and managing #SplinterlandsCustomSets.
Custom Set Rental
Splinterlands introduced the one set rental for new players to easily rent a deck. These decks were one from one set only like Chaos Legion, Rift Watchers or Rebellion. Recently, players can create custom sets or a mix of different sets. This feature makes it easier to create sets that you want in a league like Modern or Wild.
How To Create a Custom Set
1. Click Items and then Card Set
2. It will bring you to the following screen where you can choose "Custom" in the Create Set tab.
3. Clicking "Custom" shows you all the cards you own that you can rent out.
4. Click the cards you want to include in the set. Here I have mostly Chaos Legion cards but I have a Rebellion card as well included.
5. Name your set and click "Create Set" and "Confirm" to finish the process.
6. You can find the set you created in the Manage Set tab. Please note that it's not yet listed for rent. In the Manage Set tab, you can also edit your set.
7. Click List and input your desired rental price. Note that there is a fee of 1 DEC for listing. The advantage of listing sets is you just have to pay 1 DEC for all cards similar to listing the cards individually but you pay the same DEC price.
The set is now listed in the market and you just need to wait for a player to rent them.
Conclusion
Renting cards is one of the ways to earn in Splinterlands. You can list your surplus cards in the market and this will allow players to use them for a fee giving benefit to the card owner and the player who don't own cards. Custom set rental is even better as this is easier for new players to rent a whole deck. It's also beneficial to the renter as this saves him DEC fees.
