Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Battle Challenge! (Silenced Summoners)

I love the idea that the Weekly Battle Challenge changed instead of featuring a monster to represent a ruleset. It is so good to do something different than usual and I hope they will continually do this in the future. The best way would be to mix these challenges, so every week would be more interesting.

This week we need to show a ruleset, which is the Silenced Summoner and the way I used it to my (dis)advantage in the Battle I played. 😇

My only problem with this new system is that it is very difficult to do battles with the specific ruleset featured for the week challenge, because it is random what you are going to get and even if you have that ruleset you need to win it somehow, which is not always easy. 😏

Summoners do not give any buffs/debuffs or grant/use abilities.

Use your lowest cost and highest level summoner within this ruleset.

The Silenced Summoners ruleset doesn't change much how you setup your team, but it is important to keep it in mind that none of the Summoners will have any abilities to modify the battlefield. The only difference a Summoner would make is the available monster pool, so better tto use the highest level of Summoner at all times. 😇

RulesetDescription
Silenced SummonersSummoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities.

The mana cap was 14, which is not much at all and it is not my personal preference, because it is very difficult to assemble a team using only low mana cost monsters. Luckily there was only the Silenced Summoner ruleset to change the battlefield, so at least I didn't had any other limiting factor to assemble my team. 💪

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
General Sloan

image.png

I picked General Sloan for this battle, because he cost only four mana, which is perfect for a low mana battle and on top of that he has a lot of low mana cost monsters. 😅

Main Tank
Pelacor Conjurer
image.png

The Pelacor Conjurer cost only two mana and has a lot of Health and on higher levels the Divine Shield ability. He doesn't have any attack and that is why he has such a great abilities and Health.

His Magic Reflect ability is perfect against any Magic attack monsters easpecially in lower mana battles. 😆

Healer
Venari Crystalsmith
image.png

The Venari Crystalsmith is one of my favorite monster, because she cost four mana, which is quite cheap and she has two Ranged attack damage. Her most important ability is the Tank Heal, which means that she will be able to heal her tank in every round. 😊

Key Monster
Dax Paragon
image.png

Dax Paragon is a special monster, because he is a Magic attack monster, which is always amazing, but more importantly he has the Amplify ability, which will increase all the reflected damage on my monsters, such as on my Pelacor Conjurer. 🤩

Backline Protector
Soul Fiend
image.png

I used the Soul Fiend solely to protect my backline monsters in case my opponent would use some Sneak attack monsters. It is always good to use a Fiend in any team, because they cost zero mana and they will be able to block one or two incoming attacks. 😇

My opponent brought a similar team like mine, but he used Quix the Devious, because I think that was his highest level Summoner or maybe he wanted to use some cheap Dragon monsters.

My monsters were a bit quicker than my opponent monsters, because I used the Soul Fiend who has the Swiftness ability, which will increase the Speed of all my monsters by one.

In the first round not much happened, because our tanks had a lot of Health and Divine Shield, so it took some time to deal damages. ON both of our sides the Conjurers reflected a lot of damage back to their Magic attackers as well.

The first kill happened at the end of the second round, because my Conjurer used his reflected ability to kill their Doctor Blight, which was a huge turning point. 😊

Luckily my Venari Crystalsmith couldn't receive any damage back from her target, because she was a Ranged attack monster, so my team killed their Conjurer first and my Dax Paragon being quicker than his counterpart killed their Dax as well.

Only their Sould Fiend left in their team, which was an easy kill for my team and they managed to secure a win for me. 💪
