Overview
Today I brought a Wild battle, where all the monsters will be quite deadly if they were attacked by melee or magic damage, because of the reflect abilities that they are getting. 😁
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Counterspell | All units have the Magic Reflect ability. |
Briar Patch | All units have the Thorns ability. |
Even Stevens | Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles. |
The mana cap for my next battle is 99, which is amazing and one of my favorite, because I really do not have any limitation what to bring into this battle, because the 99 mana is basically means it is unlimited. The only drawback is the Even Stevens ruleset, because it will halves the available monster pool allowing the use of only the Even mana cost monsters. 😇
The Briar Patch and the Counterspell ruleset will give the Thorns and Magic Reflect to all the monsters, which means that they will reflect 2 damage back to their attacker.
My lineup
Mimosa Nightblade is an a excellent Untamed Summoner who gives the Void ability to her friendly monsters, which will halves all the incoming magic attacks. She will also decrease the ranged attack of the enemy monsters and she will give the Affliction ability to her monsters, which will remove the ability of the enemy monsters to heal themselves. 😊 | |
Harklaw is one of the strongest and toughest tank in the Death Splinter, because he has the Shield ability, which will halves all the incoming melee damage targeting him. He also have +2 melee attack and decent health, which is always good for a tank. 😌 | |
Usut cost 10 mana, which is a lot and he is well worth its price, because he has a lot of health and quite good magic attack damage. More importantly he has the Bloodlust ability, which will increase his own stat by one permanently if he manages to kill his target. 😉 | |
The Will-O-Wisp cost only six mana, which is not a lot and he doesn't have any attack on its own, so he benefits a lot from his teammate Skok Duskblight who will give him +2 magic attack. 😅 | |
Skok Duskblight cost eight mana, which is quite a lot in a normal battle, but not in here! He has +2 magic attack, which is nice, but more importantly he has the Weapons Training ability, so he will be able to give his won attack to his adjacent non- attack monsters. 😋 | |
Kain Hace is the best monster for these rulesets, because he has +3 magic damage to make him a good damage dealer and the Blast ability, so he will damage all the monsters next to his target. He also has the Reflection Shield ability, so he will be completely immune to any kind of indirect damage such as Blast or reflected damage. 😀 | |
Interestingly the Dark Ha'on will be my main tank for this battle, because he has the Taunt ability, so all the enemy monster will try to attack him except their tank and the monster in their second position if they have the Reach ability. This monster is quite strong, because he has a lot of health to mitigate a lot of damage. 🤗 |
The Battle
My opponent brought Grandmaster Rathe, who is a a Life Summoner. He is quite dangerous in these rulesets, because he gives +1 armor and the Void Armor to all of his monsters, so they will be able to block one full attack easily no matter of the type of the incoming attacks. He also gives the Amplify ability, which will increase all the indirect damage by one on their monsters. 😁
In the first round not much happened, because both of our teams were quite protected and even with the two reflect ruleset it okk almost two rounds to kill the first monster. Luckily their Shieldbearer died, but sadly he got resurrected back by their High Priest Darius.
In the third round both of us lost our monsters with the Taunt ability and my opponent lost their Venari Crystalsmith against the Blast damage on my Kain. Sadly I also lost my main tank, but luckily my Usut still had some health to sustain some damage.
In the fourth round two of their monster died and only their Corsair Bosun left, which was an easy task for my three magic attack monster to finish and won the battle for me. 😇
Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy worked as I expected, because Mimosa and the Void ability that she provided prooved to be very good, because the enemy reflected magic attacks couldn't do any damage on my magic attack monsters. Using Kain Hace was a really good idea as well, because his Blast damage was a huge advantage over my opponent. 💪
