Overview
Today I brought a Wild battle, where I used a level one Chanseus the Great who is an old Untamed Summoner from the Life Splinter against Franz Ruffmane who is a level seven Summoner, so it will be interesting to see how good the old cards were. 😇
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Going the Distance | You can only summon units with ranged attacks. |
Rise of the Commons | Only Common and Rare Monsters may be used in battles. |
Armored Up | All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat. |
The mana cap for my next battle is 47, which is quite good, but the Going the Distance ruleset allows the use of only ranged attack monsters, so the available monster pool will be much less than usual, so it might be difficult to use all the mana available for this battle.
The Rise of the Commons ruleset removes all the Epic and Legendary monsters, which will make it even worse to setup a decent lineup. Luckily it is still allow the use of any rarity of Summoners. 😇
The Armroed Up ruleset will provide +2 armor to all the mosnters on the battlefield, so it is advised to bring a monster or Summoner with the Repair ability, which will restore some of the lost armor on a monster. 💪
My lineup
Chanseus the Great is an excellent choice for this battle, because he has the Repair ability, which will restore some armor on one of his monsters. He also has the Triage ability, which will Heal one of his mosnter in his backline if my opponent decide to bring a monster with the Snipe or Blast ability. His last ability is Resurrect, so he will be able to bring back to life the first friendly monster who would die. 😁 | |
I used the Venari Marksrat solely, because he has the Martyr ability, which means that he will increase all the stats of the monster behind him by one. He was destined to die quick and twice, because I used him in the first position, so my Anachron Bolter would benefit a lot from his death. 🤗 | |
The Anachron Bolter is almost the best pick for this battle, because he has the Headwinds ability, which means that he will decrease the ranged attacks of the enemy monsters by one as long as she is alive. She is also a very good damage dealer, because she has magic attack next to her ranged attack, so she will be allowed to play and if she is lucky the Venari Marksrat front of her will buff her up nicely. 🤗 | |
The War Pegasus will be a damage dealer for this battle for seven mana, because he has quite a good speed and on top of that if he hit his targets he will use his Shatter ability to destroy all of the enemy armors completely. 😜 | |
The Venari Crystalsmith is a must have for this battle, because she has the Heal ability, so she will be able to restore some health at his friendly monster in the first position. 😎 | |
The Pelacor Arbalest will be my main damage dealer, because he has the Double Strike ability, so he will be able to attack twice in every round for four damage, which is amazing. 😉 | |
The Supply Runner cost six mana and has two ranged attack damage with four speed, which is good to be one of the first monster to attack. Sadly he doesn't have any ability on his current level, but hopefully his damage will be enough. 😊 |
The Battle
My opponent brought Franz Ruffmane, who is able to use an additional Gladiator monster into this battle whom are one of the strongest monsters in the game, because they have the Bloodlust ability, which means that if they kill their target they will increase their own stat by one. Franz also gives an extra armor piece to all of his monsters for this battle. 😅
My opponent brought a tank who had a lot of armor, so it was a good choice to bring my War Pegasus, because he shattered his armor completely when he attacked him.
In the first round I have lost my Marksrat and he buffed my Anachron Bolter for the first time and even though my Marksrat died my team kept him alive for the entire first round while their tank died by the end of the round from my Pelacor Arbalest. 😁
The second round was much more difficult for my team, because I lost my Marksrat once again and my Anachron Bolter became my tank. It was important to keep her alive otherwise I might lose the battle. They had a new tank, which was the War Pegasus and it was quite hard to hit him, because he was Flying and his high speed made him to dodge a lot of our attacks.
Luckily in the third round three of my key monster managed to attack him and finally he died and their Gladiator monster Ajax became their main tank who had even more speed, so it will be a challenge not to miss him with our attacks. 🍀
As I expected my team missed a lot of attacks against him, but luckily my Bolter had magic attack as well, which was crucial to kill him at the fifth round.
As soon as he died it was easy to kill their Venari Crystalsmith as well and the last two of their remained monsters in the sixth round. 😇
Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy worked as I expected, because thanks to Chanseus and to my Marksrat they made a very strong Anachron Bolter who's magic damage helped a lot to kill their speedy tanks. Her Headwinds ability was also inevitable, because without that my opponent monsters would have much more damage. 😅
