Splinterlands | ALBAHOO FORESTER is a little devil with no attack

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are enjoying the day with your family and friends and also spectating the amazing change in the world of cryptocurrency due to Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the U.S. The time is really exciting as Bitcoin has already moved up by 6% within minutes yesterday as Trump took charge, not to mention the recent pump of Trump and Melania meme coins amid the buzz. Anyway, for all the splinterlands players out there, while keeping an eye on the crypto market, I am sure all of you are also playing the game on a daily basis and climbing the trophy ladder to reach your goals. If we look at the season clock, there are only 10 days left for this ongoing ranked season, so whatever your goal is for this current season, either to enter a particular league tier or to secure a spot in the Champion leaderboard, I hope all of you are trying your best right now on your goals. Now talking about myself, last season I somehow managed to enter the Champion III league tier and right now I am sitting at the Diamond II league tier with a current trophy count of 3,380 and would only need another 20 trophies to reach the next tier of Diamond I. Let’s see how much time it takes to reach Champ this time.

Now moving on, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about another awesome Rebellion card with you all and as you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be showcasing the ALBAHOO FORESTER. So, if you are interested, let us take a jump without any further ado.

ALBAHOO FORESTER

ALBAHOO FORESTER is a monster type card that was introduced in the game with the launch of the latest Rebellion edition cards and this card comes under the core Rebellion card set. This monster belongs to the Life element and this monster card does not have any type of attack with it, but still, it is very useful in battles due to its abilities. It costs only 2 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily choose this card when playing small to medium mana limit matches, or the ones with Little League ruleset. By rarity, it is a common type card, so you will need a total of 400 BCXs of cards to upgrade this monster to its maximum level. Now, apart from a slow speed but with a good armour + health combo, this monster also comes with 3 abilities which I am about to talk about later in this post. Let us now take a further look at its league wise stats and abilities below to know more about this monster.

BRONZE

At level 3, this monster card possesses 1 speed at 1 armour with 5 health and it also gets the Return Fire ability since its initial level. With this ability, this monster will return 50% of the damage to the attacker (rounded up) when hit by a ranged attack. So, this monster has become very useful against range monsters since its initial level.

SILVER

When this monster gets upgraded to level 5, it receives an increased stats of 2 speed at 1 armour with 5 health. Not only that, but it also gets a new ability at this level called Triage. With the help of this ability, each round restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the friendly backline monster that has taken the most damage.

GOLD

As this monster gets upgraded further to level 8, its stats get increased further as it now receives 2 speed at 2 armour with 7 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new abilities in this league, because of its increased health bar, it can be used as a tank card and can defend against multiple attacks.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when this monster gets upgraded to its max level of 10, its health stats get a little more increment as it now possesses 2 speed at 2 armour with 8 health. Gladly, it also gets a new ability called True Strike and with this newly added ability, from now on this monster will never miss its attack.

BATTLE LINK

BATTLE STAT

This time I received a medium 37 mana limit match where 4 Elements were available to choose from as follows - Fire, Water, Earth and Life. There were also 2 rulesets applied in this battle - Heavy Metal (only Armoured Units can be used in battles) and Blood and Sunder (all monsters get the Corrosive Ward ability in this match). Anyway, after looking at all these rules and limitations, I began to think about an effective strategy for this match and after browsing my cards, I finally decided to make a defensive lineup with only 2 or 3 attackers and then started building my lineup accordingly.

For this match, first of all, I chose the dual legendary summoner Eternal Tofu and then at the first position of my lineup, I chose the Grimbardun Smith followed by the Sunkai Harvester, Albahoo Forester, Olivia of the Brook, Uraeus and the Nalara Geinek at the end position of my lineup. When both the lineups were revealed, I found that my opponent had also chosen the same Eternal Tofu summoner and at his front position, he selected the Mantaroth followed by the Uraeus, Grimbardun Smith, Moxian Rebel, Nimbledook Explorer and the Albahoo Forester at his end position. The opponent didn't use any big attacker in his lineup and this was a great advantage for me.

As the match began, both the Uraeus started attacking the opponent’s rear monster and also started getting Thorns damage in return, but luckily my Uraeus applied poison upon the enemy Albahoo. Then my Olivia attacked the enemy Uraeus and killed it down at the very first round. No monsters died on the 2nd round but in the third round, my Olivia again took down an enemy, the Mantaroth this time l. Again no monsters died in the 4th and 5th round but in the sixth round, my Uraeus killed down the wounded Albahoo. Then again there were no deaths in the 7th and 8th round and my Olivia again took down an enemy card, the Nimbledook this time at the 9th round and by then, my Olivia had acquired a total of 16 abilities and become unstoppable. Next, my Olivia again attacked and killed down the main Defence Grimbardun Smith this time at round 11, followed by the Uraeus who then attacked and wounded the only alive monster Moxian and also applied poison upon it. Finally, my Sunkai Harvester attacked and killed Down the last card on the opponent’s side and thus, I won another amazing match.
