What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!
I hope all of you are enjoying a vibrant weekend with your family and friends and also enjoying this amazing in your free time. Now those of you who play this game on a daily basis with dedication, I guess all of you had reached your goals in the last ranked season and also claimed tour season end rewards already. Most of you have already started playing battles in the ranked arena and are slowly approaching your goals again. If we look at the season clock, there are only around 11 days left for this current season to meet its end, so though it seems we are only at the beginning stage and have a lot of time, we actually will be in the middle a few days later, so be sure to keep working in your goals. Now taking a look at myself, I am currently playing at the Diamond II league tier with a current trophy rating of 3,260. With almost 11 days left, I will try to reach my goal of entering the Champion League faster this time. Let’s see how it goes.
Moving on, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, I have decided to showcase an old monster from the Chaos edition card-set and ask you if you guys still use it in your battle lineups often. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about DEEPLURKER, so if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.
DEEPLURKER
Deeplurker is a monster type card that was introduced in splinterlands with the release of the old Chaos Legion edition cards and this card falls under the core edition. This monster belongs to the water element and its attack type is melee. It costs 6 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily choose this card while playing medium to large mana limit matches. By rarity, it is a common type card, so you will need a total of 400 BCXs of cards in order to upgrade it to the maximum level. Now apart from a good melee attack with favourable speed and health, this monster also holds 3 abilities which I am going to talk about later in this post. Let us now take a closer look at this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to find out more.
BRONZE
At level 3, this monster card possesses a good stat of 3 melee attack power at 3 speed with 7 health and it also gets the opportunity ability since level 1. With the help of this ability, this monster will target the monster with the lowest health.
SILVER
When you upgrade this card to level 5, this monster’s stats get a bit increased to 4 melee attack at 4 speed with 7 health. Though it does not get any new abilities, its increased melee attack power and other stats will help you on the battlefield for sure.
GOLD
As this monster gets upgraded further to level 8, here it receives 5 melee attack 4 speed with 6 health. Not only that, but it also gets the poison ability from level 6 onwards with which, it has a 50% chance to apply poison on every successful attack and poisoned units will lose 2 health at the start of every round.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 10, it gets 5 melee attack at 4 speed with 7 health. Gladly, it also receives another new ability called Demoralise ability since level 10 with which, it gives a -1 melee attack to every enemy melee monster.
Battle Link
Battle Stat
This time I received a small 20 manna limit match where there were only 2 elements allowed to choose from in this match - Fire and water. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this battle such as Tis But Scratches - all units get the Cripple ability, Lost Magic - You can not use Magic Monsters and Blood and Sunder - All units get the Corrosive Ward ability. So after looking at all the match details, I started thinking of an effective strategy for this battle and then decided to take my chances on Water monsters, mainly sneak and opportunity ones and then started building my lineup accordingly.
For this match, first of all, I chose the Water summoner Kelya Frendul and then in my monsters lineup, I placed the Halfling Refugee at first place followed by Pelacor Bandit, Deeplurker, Uraeus, Igor Darkspear and Chaos Agent at the end position of my lineup. Anyway, when both the lineups were revealed, I found out that my opponent had used the Legendary Fire Conqueror Jacek as his summoner and at his first place, he selected the Exploding Rats followed by Chaos Agent, Scorch Fiend, Elanor Bravefoot, Supply Runner and Lava Spider at the end position of his lineup.
As the match began, the Exploding Rats attacked first and broke down both the Halfling and Pelacor's armour and wounded their health as well, followed by the supply runner who wounded my Halfling once again. Then Lava Spider attacked my Igor and then finally, my first attacker bandit targeted Lava Spider and wounded it down to 5 health. The first kill was made by My Halfling who took down Exploding Rats b the end of round 1, but my Igor also died from the redemption damage. In round 2, my bandit killed down the Lava Spider, followed by m Deeplurker who took down the Fiend, At round 3, the supply runner killed my Halfling, followed by my bandit who came to the front and killed down the Chaos. then Uraeus killed Supply runner at round 3. The last monster left was the Elanor Bravefoot who got killed down by my deeplurker.
I hope you loved watching the Splinterlands battle with Deeplurker that I shared above and liked reading my battle post. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.
I wish you all good luck with all of your future Splinterlands matches.
