What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!
I hope all of you are doing well in life and enjoying the day with your family and friends. Now if you happen to be a splinterlands player like me and have made a connection with this game and also play the game on a daily basis, then I hope your in-game progress is going pretty well and your reward card collection is also growing gradually. The latest Rebellion edition packs have already sold out long ago and players are anticipating a brand new upcoming card set and as expected the older Chaos Legion edition cards will be excluded from the modern ranked format. As a result, the Chaos Legion cards have lost their value already and are being sold for dirt cheap and not to mention my card portfolio has also come down by a large margin.
Now, talking about the current ranked season, time really flies fast in the lands of splinters as though it feels like we just began playing the season just yesterday, we actually have come almost near the middle of this ongoing ranked season and looking at the season clock, only around 9 days and 18 hours left for this season to meet its end. So whatever goals you guys have set for yourself, either to reach a particular league tier or to secure a spot in the glorious Champion leaderboard, I hope you reach there before time. Now looking at my own stat, right now I am playing at the Diamond I league tier with a current trophy count of 3,460 and would need another 240 trophies to reach my goal of Champion III. Let’s see how much more time it takes this time.
Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, I have chosen to rather focus the light on an old Chaos Legion monster that we all know well. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today we be talking about the Stitch Leech. So if you are interested, let’s take a deep dive without any further ado.
STITCH LEECH
STITCH LEECH is a monster type card that was introduced in splinterlands with the launch of Chaos Legion edition cards and this monster comes under the core card set. This card belongs to the Life element and its attack type is melee. It costs only 3 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily fit this card in your lineup when playing small to medium mana limit matches. By rarity, it is a common type card, so you will need a total of 400 BCXs of cards in order to upgrade this monster to the maximum level. Now, apart from a good attack power at a decent speed with good health, this monster also possesses 2 abilities which I am about to talk about later in this post. Let us now take a further look into this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to learn more about this card.
BRONZE
At level 3, this card possesses 2 melee attack power at 2 speed with 4 health and it also gets the Sneak ability since its initial level, which of course is the main feature of this monster. With the help of this ability, this monster can attack the enemy monster sitting at the last position. So this monster is ideal for killing down rear monsters while ignoring the front defense.
SILVER
When you upgrade this sneak monster to level 5, its stats get increased further to 3 melee attack power at 2 speed with 4 health but however c it does not get any new abilities at this level. But that won't be a problem because its increased melee attack will definitely help you take down those enemy monsters faster now.
GOLD
As this monster gets upgraded further to level 8, it receives 3 melee attack power at 3 speed with 4 health and it also gets a new ability called Life Leech. With the help of this ability, this monster increases its health and max health by 50% of the damage dealt (rounded up).
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 10, it gets a further increased stats of 4 melee attack power at 3 speed with 4 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not receive any new abilities even at its max level, its increased stats, especially the 4 melee attack will work like magic coupled with sneak ability and can take down many weak cards with just blow.
Battle Link
BATTLE STAT
This time I received a large 33 mana limit match where there were 4 elements to choose from in this battle - Fire, Earth, Life and Dragon. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this match as follows - Born Again (all monsters get the Rebirth ability), Odd Ones Out (you can only use monsters with odd mana count) and Holy Protection (all monsters get the Divine Shield ability). Anyway, after looking at all these rulesets and limits, I started thinking of a suitable strategy and then decided to put my faith in sneak and opportunity monsters to do the job and then started building my lineup accordingly.
For this match, first of all, I chose the Legendary Dual element summoner Eternal Tofu and at the first place of my lineup, I chose the Hill Giant followed by Stitch Leech, Venari Scout, Uraeus, Iziar and Djinn Biljka at the last position of my lineup. Anyway, when both the lineups were revealed, I found out that my opponent had used the Legendary Lux Vega summoner and at the first place of his lineup, he selected the Drybone Barbarian followed by Uraeus, Venari Marksrat, Scavo Technomaster, Stitch Leech and Runeslinger at the end point of his lineup.
As the battle began, all the backline enemy monsters started attacking my Iziar and the enemy Uraeus also applied poison to it. But sadly, both my Uraeus and Venari Scout missed their targets and only the Stitch Leech was able to attack the Runeslinger and took down its Divine Shield. At round 2, the Runeslinger killed down my Iziar and its adjacent monsters got increased stats immediately, followed by my Uraeus who attacked the enemy Runeslinger and applied poison upon it. Then the Marksrat killed my Iziar again, followed by the enemy Technomaster killed down my wounded Hill Giant and also attacked my Stitch Leech with Blast and took its Divine Shield away. Next, my Stitch Leech attacked and wounded the Runeslinger and increased its max health as well,m. In round 3, the Drybone attacked my Hill Giant but died due to its Thorns. Then, my Uraeus attacked and killed down the Runeslinger, followed by Marksrat who killed down my Hill Giant finally. Next, my Biljka killed down the Drybone finally, followed by my Stitch Leech who killed down the enemy Uraeus. Then, the enemy Marksrat again attacked and killed Down my Stitch this time, followed by an enemy stitch leech who took down my Uraeus. Next, my Biljka also took revenge by killing down the enemy Uraeus. Next at round 4, the Runeslinger finally died due to poison and then, my Venari Scout killed down the enemy Stitch Leech, followed by the Technomaster who finally killed down my Stitch. At round 6, my Biljka again attacked and this time it killed the Marksrat, followed by my Uraeus who took down the enemy Stitch at round 7. Then, my Biljka attacked and killed the Marksrat again and at this point, only the Technomaster was alive but it also got taken care of soon by my Biljka and thus, I won another amazing match.
