What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!
I hope all of you are doing well in your life and enjoying this amazing game in your daily free time. Well, if you are splinterlands player like me, then you must have been quite busy since last day, because there is only 23 hours left for this ongoing ranked season to end. So I guess all of you are playing currently in the ranked arena and enjoying the bloodbath time well while throwing matches before the timer goes out of fuel. For me, this season will remain unplayed, as I have got enough time these days cause of the yearly celebration going on. Things have started to come back to normal but will still take 1 or 2 days to come back fully. As for my Position in this season, I am Currently playing at Diamond II with a current trophy count of 3,260. So, if I can manage some time to play in the last day, I will surely fry to move myself up to Diamond I and even Champion league if possible. Let’s now see what happens..
Now moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post now, as I will be continuing my splinterlands series with another 2 new reward monsters with same ability. In my last Splinterlands post, I talked about 2 monsters with the Phase ability and in today’s post, I will be discussing 2 more but with the Thorns ability. For those who don’t know about this ability, monsters with this ability will return damage melee attackers with their reduced damage when being attacked. So, this ability is very useful against melee monster friendly matches. So, if you are interested, let’s take deep dive right now into it, without any further ado.
Drybone Megalodon
The first monster that I will be talking about ij this post is DRYBONE MEGALODON and beware of this furious Water giant, as this mega shark can cur through enemy cards easily with its sharp jaws. This is a monster type card that got launched with the latest Rebellion edition reward card. This monster belongs to the Fire unit and its attack type is melee. It costs 8 mana for this monster to be used in battles, so you can select this monster while Playing medium to high mana limit matches. It is a rare type card, so it will take a total of 115 BCXs of cards to upgrade this monster to max level. With good attack power and speed comes a very good health with an armour attached, makes this monster a useful defence card.
At level 1, this card only possesses 3 melee attack at 2 speed with 3 armour and 6 health along with the Flank ability, which it gets since its initial level. But as you start upgrading this card, it gets an increased 4 melee attack at level 2, a new ability called Retaliate from level 4 inwards and finally when you upgrade this card to its max level of 8, it receives 4 melee attack at 4 speed with 4 armour and 10 health and also gets a new ability called Thorns at his max level. Now this monster has become even more deadly, as it can damage melee monsters with thorns, if its in first position then gives the second monster Reach ability and also Has 50% chance to attack back with its melee power whenever getting attacked by melee enemy monsters. So you can use this monster against melee matches and its high health will also consume at least multiple magic attacks before going down.
Tokatag Conscript
The next monster that I would like to mention here is TOKATAG CONSCRIPT and this is also coming from the latest edition reward card-set. This monster card belongs to the Neutral element category, so you can always get this monster to select irrespective of which element you are choosing, if allowed by the ruleset obviously. This monster costs 6 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily fit this card in your lineup while playing medium to high mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Range and it is a common type of card, so it will take a total of 400 BCXs of cards to upgrade it to max level. With decent speed and low attack power, this monster gives its attention to its large health and a bunch of useful abilities, which I am going to talk about below.
At level 1, this monster only receives 1 range attack at 3 speed with 2 health and also gets the Sneak and Thorns ability, which it gets on its initial level as a plus point. But as you start upgrading this card into the laster stages, it gets one upgrade of +1 health on each level upto level 8. Next at level 9, it increases its range attack to 2. Finally when you upgrade your card to max level of 10, it gets 2 ranged attack at 3 speed with 9 health and also gets a new ability called Backfire. Now talking about its abilities, while with the Sneak ability, it will attack the last positioned monster of opponent’s lineup, with the Backfire ability, it will give 2 damage to a melee or ranged enemy monster each time they miss their target on this card. So this monster can become a sneak card killer for you or place at front to give your rear cards more time, the choice is yours.
I hope you liked reading my post and also loved these 2 monsters that I talked about above. Let me know your favourite among them in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.
Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.
