What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and also enjoying the day with your family and friends. Now for those who play this amazing game on a daily basis, I guess all of you have started pushing your trophy count and playing aggressively right now, because if we look at the season clock, we have already crossed halfway of this ongoing season and right now, only 7 days remain for this ongoing ranked season to end and all our hard-earned trophies will get reset. So, whatever goal you have set for this ongoing ranked season, either to reach a particular league tier or to secure a place in the Champion League leaderboard, be sure to accomplish that before the season's end time and try to avoid fighting in the last bloodbath days. Now talking about me, last season I luckily completed my goal and entered into the Champion III league tier, and this season I am playing at the Diamond I tier with a current trophy count of 3,560 and will need another 140 trophies to reach my goal and let’s see how fast I can enter Champion league this time.

Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, I would like to showcase an amazing monster that I personally like very much and often use in my battle lineups. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about VOID DRAGON. So, if you are interested, let us take a deep dive without any further ado.

VOID DRAGON

VOID DRAGON is a monster type card that was introduced in the game with the launch of the previous Chaos Legion card set and it comes under the core edition Chaos cards. This monster belongs to the Dragon element and its attack type is magic. This monster costs only 5 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily use it when playing medium to high mana limit matches. It is a legendary type card, so you will need a total of 11 BCXs of cards to upgrade this card to the maximum level. Now apart from a decent magic attack power at high speed with large health, this monster also carries 3 awesome useful abilities which I am going to talk about later in this post. Let us take a deeper look into these cards' league-wise stats and abilities to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 1, this monster card possesses 1 magic attack power at 5 speed with 7 health and also gets 2 abilities at its initial level called - Flying and Void. With the help of the Flying ability, this monster will have an increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from non-flying enemy cards and on the other hand, the Void ability will reduce all the magic attack damage by 50% on this card.

SILVER

When this card gets upgraded to level 2, it gets the same 1 magic attack power at 5 speed with an increased 8 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new abilities at level 2, its increased health will help you to stand a bit longer on the battlefield.

GOLD

As this monster gets upgraded to level 3, its health stat gets increased further as it gets the same 1 magic attack power at 5 speed but with an increased 9 health. On top of it, it also gets a new ability called Phase with which, it can now evade magic attacks at the same rate it would evade a melee or ranged attack. Now this particular ability has become a game changer cause now you can use this monster against magic attackers and get amazing results and there are very few monsters in the game with this ability with high speed + flying.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 4, it then possesses an increased 2 magic attack power at the same 5 speed with 9 health along with those 3 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new ability at its max level, With the increased magic power it can bring more harm to enemy units and can also damage enemy monsters with Void ability.

BATTLE STAT

This time I received a high 43 mana limit match where there were 4 elements available to choose from - Water, Earth, Death and Dragon and there were also 3 rulesets applied in this match - Deflection Field (all units get the Reflection Shield), What Doesn’t Kill You (all units get the Enrage ability) and Super Sneak (all melee units gets the Sneak ability). After looking at all these rules and limitations, I started thinking and first decided to choose mostly magic throwers and try avoiding melee monsters to be a bit unpredictable. So after thinking a bit, I came up with a strategy and then started building my lineup accordingly.

For this match, I first chose the Dragon legendary summoner Akane with Water element and at the first position of my lineup, I chose the Void Dragon followed by Pelacor Bandit, Runeseer Sevaya, Rage, Grimbardun Smith and the Ulfga the Blighted at the end position of my lineup. Anyway, when both the lineups were revealed, I found out that my opponent had chosen the dual legendary summoner Lorkus and at his first position, he selected the Halfling Refugee followed by Ujurak Brave, Arachne Weaver, Baron Fyatt, Barashkukor and the Cursed Windeku at his last position.

As the battle began, I used the Akane’s Ambush ability on both Rage and Sevaya and even before the start of the first round, both of them attacked and killed down the enemy Refugee. Then in the first round, the enemy Baron attacked first but missed its target on my Void Dragon, followed by the enraged Ujurak who also missed his attack and then even the Barashkukor missed his target in Void Dragon. Gladly, I killed the Ujurak and the the enemy Weaver attacked and guess what, it also missed its attack on my Void and soon after, the Weaver died from the Rage’s attack. Next, the Barashkukor attacked and finally became the first monster to actually hit my Void at around the middle of round 2. But I was also attacking well and killed down the enemy Baron soon after with my Smith, followed by the Barashkukor’s attack at round 3 and it again missed to hit the untouchable Void Dragon. Then, my Sevaya easily killed down the wounded Barashkukor and the only monster alive on the opponent’s side was the Cursed Windeku which also got killed soon after by my Pelacor Bandit and thus, I won the match in round 4 and earned some more SPS and Glint.

The best Dragon unit I've played so far. FLYING & PHASE will be useful to increase the chance of dodging any type of attack.

Still one of my favourite dragon tanks!

I use to play this card behind Agor Longtail. He is a very nice tank with the flying and void abilities! Nice card mate 😎🙌. And a very good post!
