Hello people, what's going on?
Here comes another week with new stories and things to talk about, sharing experiences, and the scope to learn from one another. And so, here I am, with a few battles to showcase, to share my thoughts and opinion about them and to participate in this week's "Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!" initiative.
Let's go ahead with the battles one by one...
Battle - 1: Double Strike
Ruleset: Fire and Regret
- All units receive the Return Fire ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that attack with ranged attacks receive damage back.
- Damage returned is equal to damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
- Ranged attack units with the Reflection Shield ability do not take damage from reflected magic attacks.
- The Amplify ability increases damage.
This one was fun. I went with melee attacks and an additional 2 melee attacks to two of my monsters from the summoner was an added benefit and look at my tank, with a double strike ability. 5 melee attacks on each strike and with the double strike it's 10!!!!!!!! Look at my opponent, two monsters got armor to counter the first strike, and on the second it's dead as the health is below 5. And the rest of the monsters aren't ready to take two melee attacks of 5 that make 10, die!! This was fun.
Battle - 2: Saved by An Inch
Ruleset: Corrosive Fog
- All Units take 1 armor damage and lose 1 maximum armor each round.
- Armor lost to Corrosive Fog (Corrosive Ward with an armor impact of 1 instead of 2) cannot be Repaired or restored via Cleanse.
- Units that are Resurrected will return with their full armor.
Three monsters each, and we both got the same summoner and two out of the three same monsters. My magic monster with halving and scattershot was alive till the last. Due to the halving ability, my opponent's 2nd melee monster attack was cut in half and that was why I got saved by an inch at the end, leading me to victory.
Battle - 3: Blind Picks
Ruleset: Silenced Summoners
- Summoners do not give any buffs/debuffs or grant/use abilities.
- Use your lowest cost and highest level summoner within this ruleset.
This was the easiest win in my opinion among these three. I brought this here to show the lineup. This one was a 42-mana battle where the summoners don't give anything to the monsters and that's why I went the low-cost summoner to spend the saved mana for some decent monsters. And see, I took all the health giants. I played a strategy of going with two no-attack monsters at first and third position and placed a melee monster with weapon training ability monster that had 4 melee attacks and opportunity ability as well, both of my no-attack monsters got 3 melee attacks with their existing stats and ability. There is not much to mention about the last two monsters, they were the suitable ones.
I lost no monster and won the battle with ease. Why? Look at my opponent;s lineup from the previous screenshot, I felt like he closed his eyes and clicked on the monsters for battle. Nothing more to talk.
