Few Winning Moments - Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

in #hive-133233 months ago

Hello, hello, helloooooo. How are you all?

When you submit your cards for battle, how do you feel at first glance? Can you guess instantly if you would win or not? In most cases, I can't calculate that and keep watching till the end to see how they worked, my strategy. Well, when I can sense that I am winning it gives the pleasure like, "hell yeah, beat me if you can, hahaha." That's how it goes. Oftentimes I keep losing in a row, four, five, six, ten, and countless, and sometimes I am winning in a row. Whatever it is, winning moments give satisfaction while losing one triggers one to play again.

These weekly engaging contests are really a great initiative to keep the community active and resourceful on how the other players are playing and they got to share in every week. So, wait a moment, I am coming up with a few winning matches that were executed as per my plans and would love to share with you guys what I was thinking and how they turned out. Out of piles of winning and losing moments, I got three from different rulesets to describe what goes on in my mind, my plans, and observations from the opponent's players. Let's go...

Battle - 1: Giants

Ruleset: Lost Legendaries

  • Legendary units may not be used.
  • Legendary summoners are still available.

Lots of cards, that's how a 50-mana match looks like, can fit much heavy weight monsters for the battle, deadly ones as well. Here. I thought of going with the magic monsters, as my summoner is going to give +1 attack stats to all the magic monsters. As a part of the beginner's strategy I had placed two non-attack monsters in 1st and 3rd place and in the middle, I placed a monster with weapon training ability so all of them got +1 magic attack. In my opinion, my opponent chose two inappropriate cards. My strategy worked well and I won the game smoothly.....

Battle - 2: Bloodlust

Ruleset: Counterspell

  • All units receive the Magic Reflect ability at the start of the battle.
  • Damage returned is equal to the damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.

Usually, my first choice is always the Obsidian summoner for its +1 magic stat, I love magic cards as they hit directly even if there is an armor, or I have become comfortable in handling them, perhaps. But this time, the ruleset has placed a death trap for the magic monsters. No problem, I have my second comfort zone with fire elements.

Did you notice my bloodlust monster? You would see it increasing its stats with every monster it kills, damn man!! Well, from my summoner I was supposed to get +1 melee and +1 health. But my opponent took away 1 health due to its summoner and also took away 1 melee attack from all my monsters due to it being one of its monsters with a demoralizing ability. Holy shit, I was like, "WTF, he took away my extra stats." His strategy worked well, and I learned to utilize it from next but my chosen lineup was well capable of beating my opponent all credit goes to my tank which got furious with each monster it killed, bloodlust baby!!

Battle - 3: From the Back

Ruleset: Going the Distance

  • Only units with ranged attacks may be used.
  • Consider including units with the Close Range and Return Fire abilities in your lineup.

This one is pretty straightforward, I must use the ranged monsters. With the Close Range ability ranged monsters can attack from the first place as well but unfortunately, I had only one monster with the Close Range ability and my opponent had two. I placed it at the front as my tank, then placed a low mana card to sacrifice when it, same with the third. These 2nd and 3rd were my bait, in 4th and 5th I had the big guns to cover me from the back and that's what they did and I got a smooth win.....
