Hello everyone on splinterlands, how you guys doing?
Its winter here, it feels mesmerizing to get into the battles for some warmth of excitements and thrills. So here I am, once again to participate in this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! An amazing initiative from the splinterlands team bring out the thoughts, expreience, strategies to showcase and learn from one another.
So here you go, this week I have broutgh some of the melee lineup battles, as its already a favorite zone of my battle strategies so its going to be kinda exciting as I am divinf into my favorite arena. So without any delay, lets start with the battles I got for you guys to showcase today.
Battle - 1: No Magic? Got Another Fav
Ruleset: Weak Magic
- Magic damage hits armor before reducing health.
- Add another layer of Protection to extend the life of your units.
- Shatter or Pierce any armor your opponent dares place.
One of the most appealing ability for magic monsters are that they hit health directly instead of the armour. Here, in weak magic ruleset, magic monsters are set to hit the armor first and then health like melee and ranged. So, its melee to chose obviously.
The battle is packed with the strength of double strike monster and trample ability. The winning factors were an easy battle.
Battle - 2: Low Mana Savior
Ruleset: Maneuvers
- All units have Reach (can use melee attacks from the second position).
This one is a low mana battle. As per the ruleset, all the units get the reach ability. So suitable melee can be placed in second as it can strike from there as well.
For low mana battles, I mostly prefer melee and magic, her I went with melee as well and with TARSA which gives +1 melee attack to all the melee monsters. So I packed them with melee lineup and voila!
Battle - 3: Only Melee
Ruleset: Up Close and Personal
- You can only summon units with melee attacks.
- Use Thorns and Demoralize to counter melee attacks.
- Units with 2 types of attacks (including melee) can be used.
Here you go, this ruleset pushes you towards melee, no other choice. Well, I am completely okay with that. I am an melee freak and here I go, went with the most badasss summoner that gives unlimited trample, one of the most deadliest ability, paired with melee.
Here, I was wicked enough to include a demoralize ability monster that would take away 1 melee attack from my all the monsters. Also, the mana cap wasnt very low nor high so i had to pick some beneficial ones particularly. Went with a flying monster as well and a snipe. The damage was mostly dealt with the inclusion od demoralize and the trample. Got an easy win!
